Erm. 6.8% of tens of thousands is quite a lot of people. Help me math here. Is it, like 680s of people?

And why the fuck is a twice-convicted rapist not locked up permanently? Can we please just free all the non-violent people who are in for stupid marijuana and traffic charges and throw the rapists in a deep well?

Hey, they're "non-judgmental" you right-wing bigot /s

Can we please just free all the non-violent people who are in for stupid marijuana and traffic charges and throw the rapists in a deep well?

That's what most donors think they're donating to, small amounts of weed, parking tickets, and non-violent stuff, but this group comes out and even says in their new statement that their mission is Free them all.

If you're non judgmental you can't judge me for being judgemental. Come on. If you're going to do moral relativism do it all the way. Don't kink-shame my moral absolutism /s

Of course they can, it's the paradox of tolerance, haven't you heard? The only true "facts" is the Word of the woke gods. You need some (re)education until you understand. /s

This reminds me of all the stories out of Europe about the "asylum seekers" who raped women and children, including little boys. If they were to be convicted of a crime that got them more than a two-year sentence, they would be ineligible for asylum (because these are clearly the kind of people you'd want to import permanently), so the judge would make sure their sentence was only eighteen months or so. Women and children be damned, right. People who pass bad checks seem to do more time in prison than rapists.

Really???? But whyyyy? Why so much love and compassion for rapists? Gah, don't answer that, I think I already know.

Probably because they had women and children to take care of and the women didn’t have the education to take care of themselves and the children.

The rapists had illiterate wives and children to take care of? Lock 'em up and throw away the key. Get the women and kids some help. Returning a rapist to them isn't the answer.

I was raised in a hippie community and the worst crime a person could commit was being "judgemental". Child sexual abuse, child drug addiction, child neglect was all allowed because nobody was allowed to judge. To be a good person it is necessary to draw that line between acceptable and unacceptable behaviour.

Fucking hate hippies. As much as I hate religious fanatics. Both have undertones of abusive behaviors towards women and children. Every time I hear the “you shouldn’t judge” it’s by someone who has questionable ethics.

Seems being "judgmental" and judicious is key to any society with a functioning legal system.

This is flat out chilling and I can't even bend my mind into enough of a pretzel to understand why anyone would think this is a good idea. Society has moved VERY quickly from "Let's strike down the laws against nonviolent drug offenses" to "All criminals are oppressed and must be freed," even though we haven't even completed the drug offenses part yet.
