My favourite response was

He should try Evergreen

Ten years ago this would have read as a kinda badly written joke. And now we live in a reality where this bollocks is praised. I cringed so hard while reading that tosh, ugh.

It still reads like satire to me, but probably isn't. There's no way it actually happened as presented. ("Cisgender" students gang up on poor hapless trans.) To call out Teflon Trans and not get thrown out for transphobia, they have to have done something beyond the pale.

I don't know. The Guardian was definitely publishing stuff like this about race 10 years ago, like - there are too many white people in the British countryside and it makes people feel excluded. The TRA just take everything other movements are doing and turn it into their fight centering them.

Yep. And The Guardian has become the Fox News of the left in many ways. They also don't try to appear impartial anymore. That ship sailed years ago. They are for the New Left, which means: for the monetarily rich people who wish to sound like they are progressives by not paying their taxes but instead "donating" their astounding amount of money to charities (that are questionable sometimes to say the least, and tax exempt most of the time), and by repeating mantras on Twitter to garner some much-needed likes. The wheels keep turning as ever.

The last REAL good journalism I saw in TG was the revelation of the Panama Papers - and they were so proud about it. For a reason, I think. I feared that after the first global GASP! moment they'd stop releasing any more "news" about this, and too-da-loo, I am right about once in a decade... This happened to be one of those times. Yay for me.

Has anyone heard of the people in this mess since it was first released? Yeah I know. Nobody has. The Finnish newspapers were all over this big reveal until, I suppose, they found out that the owner of their company (or chief editor or whatever) was elbow deep in this shit too, and then everyone duly shut their faces.

Such grand journalism, wow. And that recent piece of garbage by this what's her face now? Who keeps touting some "no trans person has ever harmed another creature, you monsters!" I am actually glad I cannot recall her name, because a person like her should maybe go down in history... and just that. Just go down in it and not be remembered. Even my eyeroll I wasted while I read her absolute nonsense article(s) was too much energy that I could have spent on something better - like staring a wall of paint dry. At least there'd be some literal progress in that.

I'm really curious about what assigned reading material was 'blatantly transphobic'? You say they're a mental health therapist in training? Psychiatry needs students to explore the very diverse challenges of mental health. If there were reading materials discussing things like adverse childhood experiences, trauma informed care etc, then unfortunately for this individual; they would have had to accept that biology very much matters in this area, and it's not 'blatant transphobia' at all to learn about supporting people with these things.

Very selfish and spiteful behaviour. You go into a career like that to help others. Not make it all about yourself.
