That's how they lump us all together, don't you know? Straights retain their sole identity, but now everyone else is 'queer.' No more lesbians or gay men, only queer people. Not erasure or playing into some kind of inherent prejuidice against us all at all. Nope.

But so many of those who call themselves queer now are straight people who see themselves as queer cuz they have an edgy haircut, tattoos, facial piercings; are into kink; don't dress/present or behave as ultra-extreme sex stereotypes representing polar opposites of masculinity and femininity (rather they dress and behave in a more mixed-bag way like most human beings do); and they ascribe to genderist ideology and queer theory.

On Google, type "queer heterosexuality meaning" into the search bar and more than 2.8 million results come up.

OMG so homosexuality is just another thing to LARP at this point? It's another "costume"? Does this all come back to the internet and this "need" to say "look at me, look at me, I'm special!" and people used to outgrow that but now with the internet you can do it your whole life?

Abso-fuckin’-lutely. Ever had a dream that involved having sex with someone you’re not married to, in a place other than your own bedroom? Ever worn trousers to your office job, if you’re a woman, or let your hair grow a bit long, if you’re a man? Congratulations, you’re queer.
