It was already this bad 4 years ago?

These 'educated' college students students barely hesitate to deny anything.

People are so afraid of being judged, they won't stand up for anything.

This is the clearest example of a culture that doesn't encourage critical thinking.

Imagine how easy it must have been for the militant gender-identity crusade to erode sex-based rights, these kinds of people don't even put up a fight!

These college students are what it looks like when everyone is lukewarm and it's disgusting.

Don’t think it’s a question of being judged as much as losing your job or other prospects. If you pulled me over I will say trans women are women too. I’m not going to pick a fight on TV.

People hesitate being honest, because of fear of consequence. People are afraid of getting judged/punished:

WOW you said THAT?, you phobic bigot, I will guilt, silence, or fire you. OUR group is the ultimate moral authority over you. We're disowning you.

That's judgement, and the hostile climate in 2020 culture. The opposite would be:

Oh, you think differently? Don't worry, we can disagree and I won't silence or disown you. I have my views but you don't have to agree with them. I still appreciate you because there's more to your humanity than your worldview.

That's a non-judgemental culture

I guess in my case I don’t care if they judge me, I do care about not getting a job ever again or losing my home etc.

Why didn't he ask the Asian man he talked to in the first set of questions what he would think if he said he was Asian (the guy that said, "what, really?)

He was not brought back into the fold of questioning.

I am pretty certain this was edited and chopped only to include people saying they are OK with it.

That this might come from the right or be edited probably has not much to do with its central point, which is that values, external criteria, taking positions have given way to a non-judgmental, individualistic, and relativistic society. The point made is also scary in terms of authoritarianism and its ability to sway people who exercise little resistance, independence, or criticism in the face of suggestions or commands.

I'm taking something totally different from this. These young people are adorable. They're trying so hard to be kind and gentle. All they've got to learn now its that speaking the truth and your honest beliefs, even if it's uncomfortable or unwelcome, is PART of being kind and we'll be fine.
