It is taboo to save minors from TRA. Minors are their bread and butter. SO obviously they will try their hardest to silence everyone.

It's sexual grooming to support a minor transitioning, in my opinion. Reddit grooms children into transitioning.

Sounds like kiddie diddlers to me

Even though reddit is a cesspool, we're still needed there for reasons like this. It makes me sad to think this type of rhetoric is expected to go unchallenged. No, the kids and teenagers of the world need guidance. Next time, I would PM instead of respond directly.

We can't allow this to go unquestioned.

That sub is a joke. They can't handle constructive criticism even when they ask for it, and any man who smears some tarty makeup on his face gets showered with praise lol.

And their make-up is clown-like. They should learn a tip or two from women or at least drag queens.

Or male makeup artists, there's no shortage of them these days if they're actually serious about it, but most just have a sissy fetish and slap on some granny eyeshadow and lipstick and think they look gorgeous 😂

Yeah, just put ANY effort at all. But validation doesn't need this. They are basically mocking women by "clowning" them.

"You are a girl. You were just put in the wrong body."

Like people are amazon orders and the picker screwed up which box to put this kid in. Unreal how we have let this ideology go mainstream with half of the political power structure in the country gladly cheering it on.

[–]GenCritAllDay 25 insightful - 2 fun25 insightful - 1 fun26 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Exactly! Put in the wrong body by whom? Also, I thought there is no wrong body since you they claim don't even need to have surgery to identify as trans and oh yeah "girld**k is real"!

[–]denverkris 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Right, obviously none of these kids are religious because clearly god doesn't make mistakes amirite?

[–]courage2courage 17 insightful - 1 fun17 insightful - 0 fun18 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It's breathtaking. Also, they claim OP is a jerk yet are happy to tell someone they've been "put in the wrong body".

Because that's sooo much kinder than self-acceptance.

How are people able to say things like this without questioning for a moment what they think a girl is, if not a young female human? It makes me want to scream.

Can I critique this?

If you want to change people's minds - you have to learn persuasive writing and speech. Direct confrontation almost always backfires.

[–]Finnegan7921 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Thee is no persuading these people. You would have had better luck persuading the residents of Jonestown not to drink the kool aid.

You might be the only voice of dissension this poor kid hears. We are setting these children up for failure and a lifetime of unknown and unstudied harm. Let's just hope you were able to plant seeds of clarity that might bear fruit for this young guy before he alters his life irrevocably.

[–]denverkris 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I blame the "you can't be anything you want to be!" parenting style. No, no you can't be "anything you want to be".

When you're so woke that allowing your 11 year old child to make major and irreversible medical decisions is celebrated.

But after listening to Abigail Shrier's interview with Joe Rogan (she's the author of the book discussing transitioning among young girls) it seems that these parents honestly believe that they have to go along with this nonsense because otherwise they are risking suicide and depression in their children. Also, they're afraid of the backlash from the woke brigade if they don't toe the line. And the medical professionals aren't telling these parents the consequences of these hormone blockers... not that we actually know what they are because there isn't enough data for conclusive statements. It's a scary medical frontier.

In the wrong body, indeed! Give him a female body like mine: short, very broad hips, knobby knees, big nose.... I'm sure he'd just be thrilled to be in my female body. I'm "in the wrong body" too, son. I wanted a tall one. Next time I have to ask for help reaching something in a store (which is often), I'll say "excuse me, but I was born in the wrong body, so could you help me reach this item?"

[–]LasagnaRossa 23 insightful - 8 fun23 insightful - 7 fun24 insightful - 8 fun -  (1 child)

If you're in the wrong body, how can you be a girl? Their logic isn't very sound at all.

"Do you see this cat? Well, it's actually a bird in a cat's body! Yes, he meows and can't fly, but he identifies with a bird, therefore he is a bird like all the other birds!"

Jesus what is wrong with a kid that he thinks he can't buy makeup? What does he think is going to happen if he goes to CVS and puts some wet n' wild on the counter? That the cashier is going to ask for an ID or something?

[–]kwallio 14 insightful - 1 fun14 insightful - 0 fun15 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I had a similar experience on the plastic surgery sub. I didn't get banned, but I got an over the top aggressive response and downvoted when I pointed out that many natal women can't achieve a highly feminized look, even with surgery. Everyone else in the sub went along with the poster, and told them that the (highly edited) photo he had posted was totally achievable for him (a very masculine guy)! Apparently reality is transphobic.

[–]denverkris 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yes, because being a girl is all about wearing makeup. /s

🔔Sarcasm Alarm🔔 Oh you didn't know? I wear 30 lb of makeup everyday! 😐

Beware of https://www.reddit.com/user/TheYellowRose/ and any subreddits she moderates (73 subs). She is the most notable black liberal feminist of Reddit and helped Reddit ban GC subs. I'm mentioning that she's black because she and the other mods of the blackladies sub volunteered to help ban GC as a hate sub (not just for "transphobia" but also antiblack racism... banning black feminists bit GC mods in their asses).

banning black feminists bit GC mods in their asses

When did GC mods specifically ban black women? That's the first time I hear about this.

[–]censorshipment 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (2 children)

Black women and other woc. Why do y'all think Gc_woc was created? If not banning, the removal of posts/comments i.e. silencing. Being a black radfem on Reddit is the worst. Black women subs are trans inclusive. Radfem subs don't think racism is a feminism issue. Black radfems can't call out antagonistic white women ("Karens") on feminist subs. Black radfems can't call out antagonistic "TIMs" on black women subs.

[–]immersang 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Radfem subs don't think racism is a feminism issue.

That's quite a generalization.

I remember quite a few discussions around racism specifically against black women. (No, racism in itself is not a feminist issue, why should it be? It becomes one when you add the "female" component to it. Otherwise we are back at "Feminism has to be for EVERYONE".)

I also remember when the GC_WOC sub was created that most people in this thread were very supportive of it. Because, of course black women / women of color have different experiences than white women and might want a space to discuss these among themselves. What I don't buy is "this was created because the horribly racist GC mods banned black posters left and right".

[–]censorshipment 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Racism among radfems is just as rampant as sexism among black activists.

[–]MezozoicGay 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Most agressive "black rights defending" moderators in other places I know are all white. So here can be the case too.

[–]censorshipment 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

On the r/BlackLivesMatter sub, she has the verified black person flair. Other black women of Reddit don't believe she's black, but I do... she's just another Condi Rice, Stacey Dash, Candice Owens type but on the liberal side bowing down to white men. Likely has a white boyfriend.

[–]MezozoicGay 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

She definetely can be woman of color, I am just saying that in most cases such people (especially on reddit) are just "allies" who are talking in behalf of WoC.

[–]Veneficca 8 insightful - 2 fun8 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I don't recall GC banning black feminists. What??
