I've read that before, it's very well said.

I would like to add that I find this argument by the TRAs bizarre, in addition to racist. I don't think I've ever seen a black woman who looks 'masculine' to me. They don't look remotely like men. They're sort of like all other women in that respect.

Agreed. There's very few women I can remember thinking were somewhat masculine looking(in the sense that I wasn't immediately sure that they were women) - but none of them were black. Which is not that surprisingly, given that the majority of people I encounter are not black. And nearly all women look like women. Weird, I know.

Agree – like so much else that comes out of them it just seems completely off the wall.

Really loved this one line from the article:

"womanhood is the social experience of being an adult human female"

succinct and perfect definition, and it really destroys the (incoherent) argument that some trans activists seem to make; that womanhood is a construct of white cultural ideas.

Read it all! I need to read it again and think hard.

I love reading the feminist alley on Lipstick alley. The women are so honest and funny in their comments.
