I think that's an interesting point that you make. I have been diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Severe Depression and, Borderline Personality Disorder (but the jury is still out on that one).

I also drink too much and, as part of my ongoing Rehab, I go into a Psychiatric clinic every six weeks or so. I've been doing this for a couple of years and the inpatient population is always approximately 75% female.

The clinic also runs a highly accredited Eating Disorder Program and that has always been 100% young females.

Interestingly enough, I have never seen a trans person in the clinic. And no, I know it's not because they just 'pass' so well. Something to ponder.

Well, trans is not a mental illness as they say. They just need to get all their surgeries paid for by insurance, but not because they're mentally ill or anything, just because society is unfair. While women get slapped with diagnosis after diagnosis and noone is offering to modify biological reality and society to make things more comfortable for us. I do feel like a lot of so-called therapy is nothing more than gaslighting someone who is already vulnerable. On men that doesn't work, as it's a male tendency to externalize guilt instead of internalizing it. So they feel free to engage in all sorts of "problematic" behavior and the idea of going to therapy so someone can teach them pick apart their own behavior doesn't even occur to them. No, it's not them that's wrong, it's reality, so cough up the free breast implants and women's sports scholarships! If you don't, they will threaten suicide and, unlike women, noone will lock them up for it, instead everyone appeases them because unlike women, they won't accept any sort of responsibility for their own behavior anyway.

There are usually separate therapy groups/clinics for people who are trans, that’s why you don’t often see them.
