I first checked out r/GenderCritical last year because of one of them saying that to someone else in a sub I was lurking in "Don't even read what they have to say! You may agree with it and "become a bigot!" ". Total cult behavior. So pathetic when they say things like that and don't realize it means they have no real arguments.

I grew up in a Buddhist cult, and that is one of the things we were forbidden to do: read about other sects, visit other houses of worship, not have Buddhist idols, etc.

It was considered slanderous, breaking unity within the group, and inviting bad karma.

I hope everyone realizes that the whole trans nonsense IS A CULT.

People have a very narrow definition of what constitutes a cult.

The assume it means wearing funny clothes, leaving your family, and living in a commune.

That is far from the only type of cult.

There are self help gurus, like Byron Katie, and my cult, Soka Gakkai, that is a cult.
