Something is very wrong if you can't handle a person having a different opinion than you. It is impossible to live in a world where everyone agrees with you. These people are deranged.

The kind of aggressive, emotional reaction that occurs when someone doesn't act or think they way you want them to is cognitive dissonance based in entitlement. Seneca said that the wealthy were far more likely to have an anger response to something not going their way because they felt they had enough money that things should go their way.

Wealth, privilege, entitlement-- yep, sounds like the trans rights movement to me. Funny how much it's like the men's rights movement when you really strip it down to its bare characteristics.

[–][deleted] 65 insightful - 11 fun65 insightful - 10 fun66 insightful - 11 fun -  (1 child)

Don't forget the violation of women's boundaries!

Funny how much it's like the men's rights movement

Hmm, I wish I could put my finger on why. ¯\(ツ)

Lots of high income incels in IT seem to become trans.

[–]Anandamide 72 insightful - 2 fun72 insightful - 1 fun73 insightful - 2 fun -  (8 children)

Entitlement is the backbone of trans ideology IMO. Not just the demands of transspeak and space access, but medical accommodation. To even consider having non-necessary surgery on a healthy body just to make it match a mental image that never was...how is that not the highest form of vanity? The threats of "Do this or I'll kill myself" just add to the abusive and narcissistic manipulation. Refusing to be gaslit makes them SO angry. I'm no psychologist, but perhaps a person who wants to make irrational demands of everyone around them, mutilate their body, threaten suicide for compliance and violence when they don't get their way isn't mentally healthy, and shouldn't be trusted to make good decisions for themselves or others.

[–]OrneryStruggle 58 insightful - 2 fun58 insightful - 1 fun59 insightful - 2 fun -  (7 children)

To my knowledge there is literally no other mental illness in the DSM where anyone would recommend responding to repeated suicide threats from the patient by capitulating to what they are demanding. Imagine if literally anyone else did that to a medical professional and how they'd be treated.

[–]bellatrixbells 21 insightful - 1 fun21 insightful - 0 fun22 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

They would be thrown in the goddamn loony bin is what would happen to them.
Transition used to be a compromise that a patient went to along with therapy because is often no curing GD. Now it's being presented as a magical cure all and it's creepy AF.

[–]GConly 11 insightful - 2 fun11 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Tbh most TIMs never had GD, they are AGP crossdressers.

They used to get filtered out by the psychiatrists.

[–]bellatrixbells 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Quite.

[–]OrneryStruggle 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, exactly.

I think it's basically malpractice to respond affirmatively to suicide threats, as a mental health professional or other health professional, but what do I know.

[–][deleted] 19 insightful - 1 fun19 insightful - 0 fun20 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Anorexics and bipolar people don’t have rich lobbyists and perverts on their sides.

[–]moonlightascending 14 insightful - 1 fun14 insightful - 0 fun15 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

exactly. we don't go around telling people with eating disorders their self-image is correct and they're actually overweight, because that would be immensely harmful. we don't go along with someone's hallucinations when they're schizophrenic. the TRAs are the only people who's delusions are being treated as reality.

[–]OrneryStruggle 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

And not only are their delusions being treated as reality, they are getting what they want out of uttering threats. Normally if a mentally unwell person threatens to kill themselves in front of a mental health professional or medical professional, that person is responsible for institutionalizing them until the threat has passed, not giving them stuff they want.

[–][deleted] 16 insightful - 1 fun16 insightful - 0 fun17 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

All disappointment like that is the result of expecting a different result than what we get. Expectations lead directly to misery depending on how hard we hold on to them. The people with the most have the most to lose

[–]Spikygrasspod 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I feel like doctors have some responsibility here for pretending they can construct a sexed body and that the rest of us would go along with it.

Thank you! Everything is considered "hate speech" around them, it's considered hate speech to mention biological facts, they are completely unreasonable. I stopped trying to talk to them years ago. I look forward to the trans cult becoming a thing of the past and more people peak transing! 😐

[–]motionlessoracle 43 insightful - 2 fun43 insightful - 1 fun44 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Part of it seems to stem from fear. The trans community hypes some seriously distorted murder/suicide statistics. It's no wonder that many are incredibly afraid. They can't tell the difference between GC women who might argue with them and violent transphobes who might harm them. To them, the former is a slippery slope to the latter.

Grappling with your identity in the world is never easy, and a lot of the trans are teens or just past their teens. To them, it's the most important thing that has ever existed and if you question it, negate it, or mock it even a teeny, tiny bit, you're stripping them of all humanity and denying they exist. Which is bollocks. We know they exist. We don't want them not to exist. We want them to play dress up and have interesting hair and everything. It's quite lovely to watch the youth learn for themselves why some norms are norms and why some are stupid and can be transgressed.

Reality is a norm that really can't be transgressed. Most will eventually learn that. In the meantime, we have to reduce the damage they are doing to women's rights.

[–]terfy_delight 18 insightful - 1 fun18 insightful - 0 fun19 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

It's also a very dangerous mindset. In one discussion, in a private forum where the main mod allowed a discussion on it, one TRA said that first bigots, ie TERFs, should try to be re-educated, and if they can't then they should be destroyed. It hit me, that's how most of these people thing and how they're really nothing but authoritarians. I don't think they're joking when they say we should get the wall or guillotine. They don't believe we should be allowed to exist.

[–][deleted] 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They're a terrorist group. It's not as if they don't have a manifesto already.

[–]Realwoman 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Using the word reeducated seriously... Wtf, they're admitting they're no better than communist China!

[–]firebird 117 insightful - 1 fun117 insightful - 0 fun118 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I think maybe they expected us to either give up or resort to the same kind of drastic measures they resort to so they can point at us and go "see, we told you they were evil and violent!". Instead we just started calmly reforming in other places.

It's the same thing happening with JK Rowling. She calmly and respectfully states her opinions and even actual facts, and TRAs respond with pure anger. They don't know how to deal with calm and thoughtful opposition.

[–]GConly 23 insightful - 2 fun23 insightful - 1 fun24 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

They don't know how to deal with calm and thoughtful opposition.

Not only do I still exist, but now feel less sympathetic towards trans people. Not even doing the pronouns thing anymore.

[–]hufflepuff-poet 72 insightful - 2 fun72 insightful - 1 fun73 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

This. I'm doing the bare minimum to not lose my job re: trans and pronouns but I'm putting distance between me and trans folks irl and online, too many of them are energy vampires

[–]sudd3nclar1ty 52 insightful - 16 fun52 insightful - 15 fun53 insightful - 16 fun -  (0 children)

Yes I caught myself thinking along these lines yesterday. Why am I obligated to participate in someone else's fantasy at all? If Jerry wants to come to work in his furry costume, must I refer to him as bare-bear during staff meetings?

[–]catoboros 31 insightful - 1 fun31 insightful - 0 fun32 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

Many trans people are harmed by the actions of TRAs, which are eroding the public image of trans people. Dissenting trans people lost our subs too. We were not prepared at all for the bans. Much respect for GC demonstrating the futility of censorship.

[–]venecia 16 insightful - 1 fun16 insightful - 0 fun17 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Thanks for being here. I only speak for myself but it warms my heart when older trans people and younger ones who are capable of reason stand up to this absolute bullshit whereby the most oppressed person in any given place has the right to act however they want.

The backlash is going to suck for you guys and I am so sorry. People like you don't deserve it, and there's no way you'll convince them to change course before it happens.

[–]tuesday 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

it's your call to express gratitude for someone doing the bare minimum, i get that, i've thanked men before when they appear to understand and have concern for the issues women have to face. But.

I've been around the trans conflict for decades. And it is only in the last very few years, when they realize a backlash is coming and it's going to bit them HARD, have any of them bothered to step up and side with women. Prior to the last few years, they were all content to sit back and let the diehard extremists speak for them, and erase women's rights in the process.

[–]venecia 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm choosing to believe this person has been with us longer than that, but you very well could be right. I know it seems to be the truth from where I'm sitting, that rats are only just seeing the ship sinking.

The only reason I'm contrite is because up until all this bullshit, I supported trans rights. They shouldn't be called slurs. If they disclose dysphoria to someone near to them, using their preferred name and pronouns is an act of kindness and decency. I reversed my thinking on strangers owing others that emotional labor though, and have come to believe that pronouns are earned when someone is read and perceived as the sex they claim unless you are humoring a good friend.

Here's the thing: the backlash is going to be laced with a heavy dose of what right wingers think of trans people. If they thought the wrong pronouns were literal violence, they will not believe how quickly actual violence comes knocking. They are damn fools for thinking they can keep on like this, and even so, if they do, I won't be able to help feeling bad for them, especially the young kids who thought that being misgendered was the worst it gets.

[–]Realwoman 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Which were the dissenting trans people subs?

[–]catoboros 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

r/rightwingLGBT (banned in the first wave) and and r/uncensoredLGBT (banned in the second wave).

r/rightwingLGBT had some right wing nastiness, but was about two-thirds disaffected liberals moaning about leftists, most of the rest being libertarians, with a few token actual conservatives. Many trans people of all viewpoints and robust debate. Many GC and droptheT types. Anti-trans comments were widely rebutted by the community. No one there liked TRAs at all. It was a great community. This was my top sub. (GC was still my #4 after six months of inactivity, for a handful of posts.) r/rightwingLGBT was banned to protect dissenting trans from ourselves, I guess.

r/uncensoredLGBT was founded by a leftist who was banned from r/rightwingLGBT for being too left wing. Trans inclusive. Completely miquetoast totally uncontroversial sub. The mod brought on a second mod to fend off false flag posts and ensure compliance with the new Reddit rules on "hate" content. This was my home after the first banwave. The ban was totally unexpected and emptied my inbox. I guess it was banned for being an LGBT sub not controlled by the ruling clique. Or my fact-based discussion of why I disagreed with some of JK Rowling's essay but respected her right to free speech. We have reformed on Ruqqus +LGBT.

[–][deleted] 26 insightful - 1 fun26 insightful - 0 fun27 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I can't believe I ever thought it was possible to have a civil discussion with TRAs, that being respectful and giving them the benefit of the doubt would be reciprocated with the same energy. No, they're homophobes and misogynists, they truly are. They hate us, and I can't sympathize with that, even if they were the most oppressed minority in the world.

[–]Poofter 101 insightful - 4 fun101 insightful - 3 fun102 insightful - 4 fun -  (7 children)

The ban made we join you all on here. I’m a gay man. This is absolutely ridiculous. I’ve already seen things like “It’s only a matter of time before they’re banned there too!” 🙄 They think the universe has to bend over for them. It’s annoying

[–][deleted] 47 insightful - 4 fun47 insightful - 3 fun48 insightful - 4 fun -  (4 children)

Ban us for what? Being too "left-wing"? Because rest of saidit is an anti-semitic shithole.

[–]joeytundra 19 insightful - 1 fun19 insightful - 0 fun20 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

The Left Wing has been hijacked by hostile aggressors that hate Western culture and freedom for women.

[–][deleted] 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Western culture is part of the problem. When in European history were women so free and not oppressed by men? Let's not pretend history starts in 1960.

[–]joeytundra 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

now go take a look at what Arab women face, women in China and Russia. There is a push to get rid of women's freedom using many different outlets and if you think the ones doing this love western values..think again. They hate it.

[–]Feather 39 insightful - 1 fun39 insightful - 0 fun40 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The ban is also what made me join here. I only ever lurked at GC back when it was on Reddit.

[–]Maeven 14 insightful - 1 fun14 insightful - 0 fun15 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yo!

I've crossed paths with more gay men as a result of this issue and I think that's been a good thing. I subscribe to LGBDroptheT and have been watching things unfold in askgaybros. It's interesting to see the similarities (and the differences) with how this affects each community.

[–]CleverNickName 83 insightful - 30 fun83 insightful - 29 fun84 insightful - 30 fun -  (3 children)

Remember all the times when we were on reddit and actively lobbied in other subreddits and ours how much we want r\lgbt, r\gendercynical, and all the trans subreddits banned, erased from the site, ostracized and forgotten?

Remember how, whenever they said literally anything, a swarm of us would decend upon them screaming "TRAs! Fuck TRAs! Homophobes! Garbage human being! I hope you all die!" with thousands of upvotes on those posts?

You don't remember any of that? Any of you? I don't even remember it? Huh. I wonder why that is.

[–]GConly 21 insightful - 2 fun21 insightful - 1 fun22 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

I swear they banned GC so no one could check it and see the absolute lack of hate speech and threats on it.

Now when some TRA says they got banned for threats etc we've lost the proof that they are full of shit.

All that data hidden from view too.

[–]CleverNickName 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Also, burden of proof is the other way around, and it's difficult to prove a negative.

[–]tuesday 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

no it's been archived, the link is floating around here somewhere.

[–]DistantGlimmer 86 insightful - 2 fun86 insightful - 1 fun87 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

Because they know their ideology makes no sense beyond being self-serving and they know even the libfems don't believe it really. Their biggest fear is that people actually start reading GC ideas with an open mind and find they agree with them so their only solution is to just try to take away any platform GC has. This can't really work in the long run. Eventually, people enabling TRAs will move on to some other cause and other people will stop being terrified to voice agreement and investigate GC views for themselves. Remember as much as many people may say they hate "TERFs" the vast majority of those TRA supporters agree that sex is real and immutable at least and that transwomen are male.

[–]Feather 31 insightful - 1 fun31 insightful - 0 fun32 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I agree. The majority of the TRA supporters don't even know that so many TRAs are claiming that transwomen are female or transmen are male. They genuinely don't know about the outlandish claims.

[–]catoboros 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I did get one commenter on r/asktransgender to admit that trans women were "not canonically female". Nonbinary people seem more open to acknowledging the reality and immutability of the sex binary; maybe that is why I do? Is biology denial stronger amongst binary trans?

[–]windrunner 20 insightful - 1 fun20 insightful - 0 fun21 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Their biggest fear is that people actually start reading GC ideas with an open mind and find they agree with them so their only solution is to just try to take away any platform GC has.

You said it all. And they even shamelessly admitted this on AHS

[–]DistantGlimmer 25 insightful - 1 fun25 insightful - 0 fun26 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I first checked out r/GenderCritical last year because of one of them saying that to someone else in a sub I was lurking in "Don't even read what they have to say! You may agree with it and "become a bigot!" ". Total cult behavior. So pathetic when they say things like that and don't realize it means they have no real arguments.

[–]DimDroog 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I grew up in a Buddhist cult, and that is one of the things we were forbidden to do: read about other sects, visit other houses of worship, not have Buddhist idols, etc.

It was considered slanderous, breaking unity within the group, and inviting bad karma.

I hope everyone realizes that the whole trans nonsense IS A CULT.

People have a very narrow definition of what constitutes a cult.

The assume it means wearing funny clothes, leaving your family, and living in a commune.

That is far from the only type of cult.

There are self help gurus, like Byron Katie, and my cult, Soka Gakkai, that is a cult.

Fuck them, we have to congregate somewhere and we should be able to. There's a collectively accepted disregard for nuance on the left that I use to only see in conservative spaces.

TRAs have infiltrated literally EVERY goddamn social media platform available and they're still not happy if they're not dictating conversations.

Males are gonna male I guess.

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 49 insightful - 1 fun49 insightful - 0 fun50 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

A youtuber said it's not longer a discussion between left and right but a discussions of all sides of people who can have a normal discussion and people who cant.

[–]writerlylesbian 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yeah, I think this is true too. It feels like the way forward will be made by those who can have nuanced and sometimes difficult conversations, who have the ability to think critically, who can listen without resorting to screams of oppression every time a difference comes up.

[–]catoboros 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yes, the whole oppression olympics is so destructive.

[–]Feather 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That's so true.

[–]greenish 52 insightful - 1 fun52 insightful - 0 fun53 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They know we won't disappear, but they do want to chase us out of all public spaces so that we are invisible and our ideas, and the FACTS we compile, and the picture they clearly reveal, become inaccessible to anyone new, and unspeakable.

[–]11mile_house 50 insightful - 1 fun50 insightful - 0 fun51 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Why didn’t they just not come to our sub if they didn’t like the content?? No doubt they are coming here also just to get upset.

[–]GConly 84 insightful - 1 fun84 insightful - 0 fun85 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

The number of subscribers to gendercritical was getting so high it was damaging the illusion that everyone agreed with the TRAs, and that we were just a minority of rabid b******.

We had to go.

[–]SpatOuttheKoolaid 55 insightful - 1 fun55 insightful - 0 fun56 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

And after JKR spoke out, many people who weren't involved in this debate before were finding GC and related subs. Reddit couldn't possibly have that.

[–]11mile_house 43 insightful - 1 fun43 insightful - 0 fun44 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

True. I notice subs that only make fun of trans people are still up, while the ones that were critical of trans ideology were banned, which tells me it's only about trying to control the conversation.

[–]RestingWitchface 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I mean that was the entire premise of Reddit as a platform. You can subscribe or not subscribe to any sub you like, so you choose the content you see. And while you can't control what other people post in a sub you subscribe to, you always have the choice to ignore things you don't like or not to engage.

[–]WrongToy[M] 44 insightful - 4 fun44 insightful - 3 fun45 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

I wish I could tell my TRA acquaintances that they converted me. To radical feminism.

[–]braincollected 39 insightful - 5 fun39 insightful - 4 fun40 insightful - 5 fun -  (1 child)

Well I'm not really surprised since they seem to think that not agreeing or asking questions about gender idelology is "LiTeRaLlY KiLlInG TrAnS pEoPle". Maybe they thought we'd dissolve like a villain in a Disney movie.

[–][deleted] 20 insightful - 3 fun20 insightful - 2 fun21 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

I mean most of them have cognitive levels that gel very well with the main targets of those movies.

[–]momiji 33 insightful - 6 fun33 insightful - 5 fun34 insightful - 6 fun -  (3 children)

Wait do they want us off this platform too? How do they think they can do that exactly?

[–]PassionateIntensity 33 insightful - 1 fun33 insightful - 0 fun34 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I dunno, have one of their billionaire backers buy out saidit? I'm surprised they haven't tried that with Mumsnet tbh.

[–]tuesday 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

if a billionaire was willing to pay top dollar for gender critical forums (so he could delete it), then a whole lot of people would suddenly start creating one gc forum after another just to sell them to the billionaire.

[–][deleted] 22 insightful - 9 fun22 insightful - 8 fun23 insightful - 9 fun -  (0 children)

They don't exactly believe in reality. My guess would be wishes, hopes and dreams.

[–]littlerbear 28 insightful - 6 fun28 insightful - 5 fun29 insightful - 6 fun -  (2 children)

You mean that we didn't disappear because we're not on reddit anymore? How's that possible? I thought reddit was the whole world.

[–]SpatOuttheKoolaid 22 insightful - 6 fun22 insightful - 5 fun23 insightful - 6 fun -  (1 child)

[–]littlerbear 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yup. There are a lot of angry, nasty TRAs over there.

[–]questioningtw 28 insightful - 4 fun28 insightful - 3 fun29 insightful - 4 fun -  (2 children)

I used to solely post on the debate sub, because I guess I am kind of a transmedicalist. I think there are some people that have dysphoria and only transitioning would help. But, holy crap did those bans piss me off. On GCdebatesQT the mods made sure no bigotry was allowed and honestly, there was a lot of both GC and trans people I enjoyed talking to.

Yeah I feel this way too.

The truscums will get booted soon enough too.

How dare you think a medical condition is a medical condition!!!!

I'm so tired of these trans activists and wish we could talk about more interesting stuff.

Post the contnet you wish to see. Stop being such a passive complainer.

[–]Mencantbewomen 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Which is exactly what i did hours ago.

But WE are "obsessed with genitals", apparently.

[–]LeyMio 24 insightful - 2 fun24 insightful - 1 fun25 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

And guess what? Women now really have a safe space for themselves instead of having to live under Reddit's shady misogynist rules. TRAs are forever ugly misogynists and psychopaths. Silencing people will never change the facts.

[–][deleted] 20 insightful - 8 fun20 insightful - 7 fun21 insightful - 8 fun -  (0 children)

Ha ha dicklicks! Enjoy not being able to report us all anymore.

It’s almost as if they can’t maintain their identity without opposition. Lol

[–][deleted] 21 insightful - 4 fun21 insightful - 3 fun22 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

They need to keep up that high of 'victory' of banning wrongthink and they can't. They really thought they could shut women up. Hilarious. Soon they'll be nothing more than a bunch of greasy men sat in a room yelling at one another about being problematic.

[–]BarleySammich 20 insightful - 4 fun20 insightful - 3 fun21 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

Whatever. They can go fuck themselves.

This is so ironic because they regularly claim that if we don't agree that transwomen are women, we're denying they exist.

Which, as a side note, is a ludicrous argument because by extension what this argument says is that men don't exist.

[–]anxietyaccount8 14 insightful - 1 fun14 insightful - 0 fun15 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

We need SOMEWHERE to discuss radical feminism. Some of the discussions that were had on GC were very thoughtful. I can't believe they're all gone!

Fantasy scenario -- the last GC/RadFem to leave Reddit, please lock the door behind you.

Let's see how long they enjoy themselves on Fantasy Island LARPing Lord of the Flies.

[–]joeytundra 14 insightful - 1 fun14 insightful - 0 fun15 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They act like abusive narcissists following women around like this. No wonder psychiatry has been hijacked putting in people that will do away with certain mental disorders. Straight out of a communist handbook.

Repression only fortify.

[–]MiaXiang 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They want everyone who doesn't toe the line to be isolated and afraid to discuss gender issues.

[–]Thatstealthygal 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, when you kick people out of the village and send them to wander in the forests evermore, there's a high chance that they'll meet up with other shunned people and form new communities. Worse, they may find themselves having to take shelter with seriously bad people - because survival is a human instinct - who may make them FAR worse than they were when you shunned them and b) will undoubtedly help them lead an attack against you in the future.

Cancelling sans compassion is never a good idea.

[–]purrfect 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I hope the ban backfires on them spectacularly. Having us all in one place might have been better for their purposes. Now we're scattered all over different plattforms AND angry. They made us more visible, at least for a while.

Reddit, on the other hand, has become 100% MRA and their handmaidens. Wanker Central. Congrats, I guess!

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Twitter has some add for their "only fans" forum. They're all for porn, furries, trans people, grooming kiddies and teens into their depravity.

(I'm sure there are trans people who aren't depraved, but they're not in control of Reddit.)

[–]venecia 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Say what? It's almost as if deplatforming just makes people want to read the forbidden book, and further pisses off people who were formerly on your side but are now being branded bigots for the slightest disagreement in dogma.

[–]OrneryStruggle 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Where are they complaining about us? LMAO of course we were just going to move to other forums.

Too bad about some of the subs that will be tough to revive, like debates though.

[–][deleted] 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The front page of saidit says they're being attacked... and all these people who sound suspiciously like our "favorite mods" are posting bizarre shit, making a point of talking about this sub.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They’ll try to shut this place down, too.

[–]beereadit 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Jokes on them indeed, they could control and monitor us on reddit but now we are free to do as we please. Thanks for pushing us out of that women thing platform and peaking more people in the process.

[–]DimDroog 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They can die mad about it.

TRANSWOMEN ARE MEN, MANLY MEN!

[–]persistentlywoman 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

attempted censorship for speaking out against a local TIM with a history of raping women turned me from a reluctantly questioning ally to a fullblown gender critic.
