Just goes to show you there needs to be a concentrated effort to persuade young women to join the tech industry.

I've read someone on kiwiboards say "these troons are autistic". Not that I want to insult autistic people, but I think the commenter had a point... it's as if a very specific personality type is common among the men who are drawn to IT/programming. These specific personality types seem prone to indulging in their own fantasies to a point that's extreme, almost like a "special interest" one would see in an autistic/aspergers type person. Hell, I could be called "on the spectrum" for the overwhelming attention I'm giving towards this particular development. It's almost as if too much internet exposure creates an online-acquired autistic spectrum disorder, LOL.

Anyhow-- it's that having too many of these very specific types of men involved in such important industries is extremely problematic. I guarantee you a large number of the people overseeing social media censorship are incel-types, men obsessed with violent porn, or transactivist types... many of them were probably born in the first generation that had 24/7 access to gaming and internet porn. These are mainly men in their 20s-40s. Having social media so influential combined with the overwhelming number of these narrowly specific types of men being involved in these industries creates one huge clusterfuck of a nightmare for us women.
I wish I could look into this kind of work, but between my lack of real background, but a whole bunch of factors including my age make me hesitant.

IT seems really to attract autistic and mysoginistic men, I'm a girl in CS and sometimes I would really like to quit. During the years I had like 4-5 creepy boys in love with me and they wouldn't take a no for an answer!

had an autistic boyfriend who started as a friend and wouldnt take no for an answer. wore me down ot a yes and 3 years of my life later im single again and terrified of cars that look like his passing my street.

its unfortunate but you cant give men like that an inch. they think because theyre disabled theyre immune to being abusive or toxic but they arent....
