Just do what Meghan Murphy does and ask "what is a woman?" (make sure they don't answer cyclically, i.e. in a way that involves the word "woman") or ask them "what is a transwoman?"

Because she's right, there's no real definition for what it means to be trans and they usually can't describe what a woman is other than "someone who identifies as a woman" which isn't a description at all. It's like saying "an apple is something that seems like an apple".

If "transwomen are women" with no difference whatsoever to biological women, then why does transgenderism even exist? Wouldn't it be redundant?

Funny how we are accused of "erasing trans people's existence" when they are the ones denying the very thing that makes them trans in the first place.

They project more than a movie theater

Right, they use circular reasoning without answering the original question.

[–]lyth 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I asked that before and when I do: 1)they simply ignore the question Or 2) they say something like "Being a woman is a complicate thing. It's not something you can define in a few words. It's something complex, just like being a German is a complex thing. When are you German: when you were born in Germany? But what if you have German parents, yet no German citizenship?" to dodge the question

If the right costume is all that's required to be a woman, behold my photos of women!

If we put a dress on a bull can it play in women's sports too? It's really not much different than Hannah Mouncy.

Those women are cuter than trans women!

[–]Riothamus 25 insightful - 8 fun25 insightful - 7 fun26 insightful - 8 fun -  (3 children)

Fuck, the average prettyboy looks a hell of a lot more feminine than the average TW after shaving and basic grooming.

I've noticed that very few TW started off as cute men. They usually transition from "ugly" to "hideous".

[–]littlerbear 17 insightful - 5 fun17 insightful - 4 fun18 insightful - 5 fun -  (1 child)

They also seem to be on the more 'masculine' side of the spectrum in terms of looks. Tall, hairy, burly...why the hell do they think they can become anything close to 'female' by putting a dress on? If anything, it makes them look more like men. Crazy men.

[–]carmellakimara 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Because they have AGP and the only reason trans people were grouped with LGB in the first place was because the LGB wanted to make sure to include HSTS.

Interesting, isn't it I know quite a few gay men who would make excellent trans women, they never bother except for the transsexuals you see in Brazil in the Mardi Gras.

This is a bit off topic, but I would love to see more images of Tom Cruise. If you have the time. This particular image made me realize I'm a fan. (Just spent a lazy Saturday looking up pics of guinea pigs)

[–]Yayme 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (9 children)

Not my guinea pig. But I do love guinea pigs. I had three. Well my daughter had 3. O lord I bawled like a baby when the one she named Mama died.

Maybe that's a good idea for a new sub here?

Piggle power! Guinea pigs should run the world.

When I was young I used to raise and show guinea pigs. I know, it sounds ridiculous, but I used to go to rabbit and guinea pig shows. I had one that championed, but never grand championed. The judge for the finale decided his fur when brushed up wasn't right and disqualified him, even though the other judge sent him thru to best in show. 25 years later, and I'm still mad about that!

Not really mad. To me now, the whole idea of guinea pig shows sounds so funny to me, and I participated. People seem to get a chuckle out of my stories. Also, look up the Angora rabbits! If you think the pictures are crazy, you should see them in real life. Although, maybe the rabbit people were smarter. The midnight screeching from guineas...wow. They can hit some decibels that hurt and I love metal!

[–]Yayme 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

I loved the vocalizing from our guinea pigs. I'd say "pig pig pig pig" and mama would squeak back. It broke my heart when she passed.

[–]WinoRhino 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Ah, I love that story about Mama. I know what it is like to own a "weird pet" and nobody gets it. Yeah. I raised them long enough that, unfortunately, that meant I also had to bury them. It is truly heart breaking, but, at the same time society says you can't act like it's importnant because, "Hey, it's just a guinea pig." So, yeah, maybe not the MOST important thing (even though it is a little creature that keeps your heart strong), but it sucks and is rough. I'm sorry about your Mama. I have had several, and each one has a silly, goofy personality. They are just so goofy...I don't know how else to articulate it. I'm sorry for your loss, and for once I mean that, in not a sarcastic way. My piggies when I was young...they got me through so much. Even just having to clean cages and be woken up at night. They really were great. I miss them.

"Sea horses are horses"

"black women are women, therefore trans women are women"

Arabian horses are horses, therefore Trojan horses are horses.

[–]lavender_menace 20 insightful - 1 fun20 insightful - 0 fun21 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

They actually use the former. Which shows how racist they are. Also black women do not like when they are compared to transwomen at all. They see it as offensive. Please consider using different examples.

[–]tuesday 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

er, it is actually transwomen who continually use the example that "black women are women therefore transwomen are women"

If you'd like people to stop using this example, would you consider voicing your objection to the people who keep saying it?

[–]sudd3nclar1ty 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

So a man wearing a dress is no different than a blackface costume?

I must be stupid bc the trans logic simply baffles me.

[–]tuesday 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

yep me too, i went through a long process once where i kept trying to "see things from their perspective" and of course, surely, wouldn't they base their demands on a set of beliefs which had some sort of internalized consistency? So I turned myself into a pretzel trying to make their position make sense but in the end i realized their ideology was much more akin to the ravings of an alien abductee.

brown cows produce chocolate milk, is what i was told as a child as a joke. Transpeople think tinkerbell is real.

I feel sorry for them but my sympathy does not extend to letting a middle aged man shower naked next to six year old girls at the community pool.

Let's all just say transwomen are mentally ill men and get it over with. People need to know a vast majority of them have npd that's why they should never share spaces with women.

[–]Delia 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

All they will do in women's spaces, is sit there, saying look at me and rabbiting on about their issues which no natal women in the room can relate to.

Tbh, I don't think escalating the conversation with satire like that is going to help. It will just make them angry and dig in their heels.

[–]Riothamus 28 insightful - 2 fun28 insightful - 1 fun29 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

The goal isn't to change the TRA's mind but to peak bystanders who will be taken aback at how badly an illogical person loses his shit.

[–]littlerbear 15 insightful - 3 fun15 insightful - 2 fun16 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Awesome. It'll expose their bullshit even more clearly for other people to see. Arguing with these people on the basis of fact is pointless. The only thing to do is to clearly illustrate how completely ridiculous their points are. I like the pic of the Yorkie in the wedding dress - I'm going to use that to counter the 'trans women are women because we wear dresses' BS. Can't wait. It's also not our job to placate a bunch of men who have no respect for us.

How about "J.K. Rowling is a REAL woman." It's truth, and they won't like it, but they can't deny it.

[–]GuacLettuceBacon 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Also "Susan B Anthony is a REAL woman" she got arrested for saying women should have a say in the government.

"The Revolution -four years ago, the sole object of which was to educate all women to do precisely as I have done, rebel against your manmade, unjust, unconstitutional forms of law, that tax, fine, imprison and hang women, while they deny them the right of representation in the government; and I shall work on with might and main(intend) to pay every dollar of that honest debt, but not a penny shall go to this unjust claim."

Susan B Anthony, from the year 1872, yet those words are still relevant in 2020.
