Thank you for saying this. The disgusting and callous things I've seen written about an intelligent woman, who spoke her mind, and died tragically, because she wouldn't kowtow to men, ever.

My dad died of the same type of cancer a couple years before Magdalen. My mother and I cared for him up until three days before his death. I think about his decline. The first time he couldn't recognize one of us. Sitting and eating with him because he feared he was being poisoned and only trusted me to protect him. Watching his body waste away to nothing. The first fall. The day he no longer understood how to use a spoon. His first accident.

My dad was a proud, fiercely independent man and I loved him with every fiber of my being. When Magdalen was diagnosed, my heart broke for her and her loved ones. Fuck cancer. Fuck brain cancer in particular. May those who loved her find peace.
