I really don't understand the recent pushback against biological sex differences being a thing. I'm here on Saidit after seeing it mentioned on /r/lgbdropthet which will likely get banned soon so has a backup here.

Hot dog eating is a funny example, but biologically, men and women process nutrients differently. It's dangerous to our health to deny that men and women have different nutritional and other health needs. I don't have a problem with people presenting themselves however they want, but their healthcare providers need to know their biological sex to best help them.

From what I've encountered, because there is variation within the subgroup, it now means there is no subgroup. So, because some women are as tall as the average male, and there are some guys shorter than the average woman, height is now useless as a distinguisher. Can say the same to height, strength. Shit, there's almost certainly a guy out there rocking some DD cups whilst some women are flat chested, so even mammaries are uselss.

In uni, I vividly remember being told that there are fuck all visually distinguishing characteristics between men and women, and THAT is why society makes us work so hard to differentiate with makeup, push up bras...

It was a cultural studies course. Great for the GPA.
