I know we probably all know about this whole drama, but I just wanted to have a link saved somewhere for future reference... I sincerely hope other non-reddit platforms grow and that more women see the light.

This was a post on "mod support". One of the moderators was trying to get clarification regarding who constitutes a "protected group" in reddit. I also thought it was interesting how they kept dancing around another moderator's questions regarding his/her detransitioning sub.

If you read the red remarks, you can see certain posters (mainly women) were blatantly silenced. People were attacking the detrans mod as well, and as you can see the main mods did absolutely nothing to protect him/her. The further down you go, the more the "power mods" attack her and use extra large bold faced type, repeatedly accusing GC of all sorts of things. Posters keep going back to the "trans-hate" issue over and over again, completely dodging the violence-against-women issue. It's against the "rules" to promote a "culture of hatred" against trans people, but not women.

In this post, this same person discusses "masstagger", some kind of user-tagging flag system. They are tracking women who post in GC or have posted in GC and are targeting those other subs these women visit.

The more I think of this, the more enraged I get. Essentially, if a group of us old GC posters, even the ones who NEVER touched the trans issue-- congregate on a reddit sub... doesn't matter what topic the sub is involved in. That sub could be PCOS, pictures of puppies and kittens, or a sub on scrapbook making, or a sub on kayaking... THAT sub WILL be brigaded, stalked, and will more likely be shut down.

If you visited the nutty far corners of the internet for bizarre memes that MRAs were posting, to check up on what bizarre theories were being peddled in the manosphere, that somehow justified Reddit calling GC posters "hate posters" and taking the sub down. It's incredibly bizarre, as 99.9% of the posters on GC were NOT neo-nazis/fascists, I'm sure. We were literally being stalked the entire time we were on reddit.

Really, when I read this thread about the JKR sub, the mod bardfinn basically explains how they stalked us and used "tagging" to further justify disparaging us and considering us on par with "neo-nazis".

Again, I firmly believe anyone and everyone who was a part of the GC subs and related should LEAVE REDDIT. Do NOT give them more revenue. They're not going to leave you alone!

This makes me so livid. I wish we could all amass our screen shots and conversations with moderators and do something. This is deliberate targeting of a demographic that is of no real threat to anyone.
Has there been any news stories about "TERFS" violently attacking transpeople? NO. TERFS raping transpeople? NO. Any mass shooter TERFS? NO. This algorithm/tagging BS all about targeting radfem women who dislike reddit's porn-peddling and who want to maintain the rights their grandmothers fought so hard for. Misogynistic transactivists jump at the chance to ban us from their platforms using any excuse they can grasp. It's the principle of the thing, you know? It's bizarre and blatantly heavy handed tone policing towards women, but not towards the men.
