The likelihood of takeover by TIMs previously was pretty high anyway. Anything with "women" in the name can be expected to be largely colonized.

My understanding was they had already taken over the mod team.

[–][deleted] 67 insightful - 3 fun67 insightful - 2 fun68 insightful - 3 fun -  (10 children)

I always thought ask women was already moderated by men and transmen. I remember one thread in which a teenaged girl was asking if her (blatantly abusive) much older boyfriend was showing "red flags". Women like me who confirmed that he was exhibiting red flags had their comments deleted, were accused of being "misandrist". The guy was in his 30s, proposed to this girl after a matter of weeks, was controlling, etc.. The top voted comment was something along the lines of "I don't see what the problem is here-- he seems to know what he wants!"... implying that HIS needs were top priority, and that as long as her young body was desirable to him, everything was A-OK.

It's also a problem among women and teens that have been brainwashed into thinking that older men are oh so refined and have so many interesting things to discuss. It begs some questions. How did those teen girls get access to those older guys? Was it because said older guy was actually hanging out within their friend groups? That's a red flag in itself. Reminds me of those creepy old douchebags in their upper 20s through even 40s trawling Hot Topics. Let me tell you about Nietzsche, Milady. Did you know systemic this and that and anarchy, and The Man?

Let me bestoweth upon you mine copy of The Fountainhead, complete with my margin notes

Almost every "woman" sub on reddit is ran by men and/or transwomen. It's such a laughable shitshow.

[–]owmygenderfeels 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

And all the ones that aren't are hunted down and banned.

Or option 2, "re-educated" by having Reddit admin replace the mod team with puppet mods, as with what happened to PCOS today.

[–]venecia[S] 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Nope. It's all women with a few guys peppered in. Relationship advice isn't allowed and I've never seen a removal for misandry. Are you sure it's the same sub?

[–][deleted] 15 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 0 fun16 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

I'm sure it was the same sub. It was bizarre having multiple posts removed for "misandry". This was a while ago. I suppose it's possible there are women on there who are into the whole "men's rights" thing.

[–]venecia[S] 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, it's changed since then. Full libfem. And now we see the natural conclusion..

[–]SameOldBS 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That's making me jolly ragey.

[–][deleted] 41 insightful - 6 fun41 insightful - 5 fun42 insightful - 6 fun -  (1 child)

As a bloke, why on earth would I want to ask a trans-woman advice about women? It's like asking an author on /r/menwritingwomen.

[–]yishengqingwa666 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

"As a maaaaaan"

You don't need advice about women.

[–]Finnegan7921 37 insightful - 4 fun37 insightful - 3 fun38 insightful - 4 fun -  (8 children)

Well, they've guaranteed they won;t get banned, but I have a feeling a ton of users will leave. They should start up r/askactualwomen, or if that's too offensive, they could go with r/askpeoplewithuteri or r/askpeoplewhomenstruate, since those absurd terms seem acceptable. Who am I kidding, those would get banned within hours.

[–][deleted] 24 insightful - 10 fun24 insightful - 9 fun25 insightful - 10 fun -  (3 children)

The days cometh where we have to identify as trans-transwomen to be heard.

[–]PostmodernJukebox 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

look up "circumgender" or "recugender" its somehow already a thing

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

What the hell is that? Ugh, I’m sure I don’t want to know.

[–]PostmodernJukebox 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

theyre both basically "i identify as trans towards my birth sex," like a woman who wants to be a transwoman. or "refusing to be cis by any means" (nearly word for word on that one.) MOGAI bullshit.

[–]Riothamus 24 insightful - 2 fun24 insightful - 1 fun25 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

I'd love to watch them to explain why "actual women" offends them so deeply...

[–]SameOldBS 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

not inclusive blah blah binary blah blah clownfish blah blah blah

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Because they see real women as competition. They want us to be the third-class-sex.

[–]leparsdon 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

And reddit would just ban those subs for "ban evasion" even though nothing was banned to evade it.

[–]msteacherlady 24 insightful - 2 fun24 insightful - 1 fun25 insightful - 2 fun -  (6 children)

Ask 30 Women posted such a statement as well. Man, did that make me feel unwelcome. That was my "peace-out losers" moment and haven't been on reddit since. This follows several instances of Tims offering their experiences in women's subs as if it were a relevant contribution. I'd had enough.

Like, who here has newly tried out not shaving thanks to COVID? I know I have and it's been...weird. I was really enjoying reading other women's experience with this and feeling less alone and then (insert record scratch or flatulence) someone posts "but shaving helps with my dysphoria."

I'm going to be less polite than I was even on r/gc. Fuck your "dysphoria." If leg shaving helps your dysphoria, I'mma conclude you don't actually have dysphoria. My grandmother didn't shave, she wore hose. My great grandmother didn't do either of those things. The poor Muslim girl in my middle school science class didn't shave and she was teased mercilessly for not shaving, but it makes me wonder, do dysphoric Muslim men get euphoric by actively not shaving? Are men from regions with little body hair pre-euphoric?

So, what was the point of the Tim's comment? While all of us gals were busy talking about performative femininity, how weird it feels, how we're getting used to it, how our significant other feelings about it make us feel, how society views us, this guy has to interrupt. Gotta stop that conversation to remind us that our performative femininity provides him with with a femininity to perform. And that's the important part. Never mind little girls getting teased for having long black arm and leg hair. It's a sacrifice he's willing to make.

[–][deleted] 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

They want to reinforce their fetish-porn standards on the rest of us in order to indulge their delusions.

[–]msteacherlady 9 insightful - 3 fun9 insightful - 2 fun10 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Seriously. I'm imagining that one mom from the Simpsons yelling, "Won't someone think of the erections?"

[–]pink_lioness 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

It's gross that he'd add in the 'but' as if shaving helping his dysphoria somehow overrides you and the other women enjoying not having to shave. He doesn't realise how lucky he is that he can shave or not shave whenever and not get shit for it.

[–]msteacherlady 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

It's a lovely intersection of (probably) some kind of personality disorder and the male privilege they just cannot shake.

[–]suzyquattrosshoes 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I saw that... bummed, I liked that sub. Normal feminist statements got made there.

[–]msteacherlady 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Me too! But I guess I will no longer feel compelled to talk 25 year olds off of cliffs when they come asking us if they're too old to dance in public or something LOL.

[–]greengoddess 24 insightful - 1 fun24 insightful - 0 fun25 insightful - 1 fun -  (10 children)

They did something similar on one of my fav subs r/bluecollarwomen. But they slid it in under blm support. Excerpt from the post:

"I am going to make this explicitly clear:

Black lives matter.

Trans and LGBTQIA+ rights are human rights

Transwomen are women.

These things are NOT up for debate. If you think that they are, please leave and no, you don't need to announce your departure, we aren't an airport."

[–][deleted] 38 insightful - 1 fun38 insightful - 0 fun39 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

Why is it that "transmen are men" isn't such a big talking point? LOL

[–]venecia[S] 19 insightful - 2 fun19 insightful - 1 fun20 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

They specifically mentioned only transwomen. By their own logic, they're being bigoted by excluding trans men who have uteri/ovaries!

[–][deleted] 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

This bizarre development... it legit makes me sick to my stomach.

[–]Finnegan7921 17 insightful - 2 fun17 insightful - 1 fun18 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

b/c men don't give a shit if a woman wants to pass as a man, and don't give a shit if they're in bathrooms, changing rooms, locker rooms, with them. The likelihood of them being in those areas specifically to get their fix for seeing men changing, showering, etc. is low and if one of them tried something on a guy, chances are she'd catch a beating.

[–]SameOldBS 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Men have absolutely no skin in the game.

[–]Anna_Nym 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

This is something some detransitioners have talked about. They experienced that trans men were widely ignored or even flat out told they need to take less space because of male privilege. In LGBTQ+ advocacy groups, the occasional trans man pops up, but it seems to be overwhelmingly trans women. Anecdotally, I think more trans women are in tech than trans men (hmm... how peculiar that this would map out to natal sex...). I don't know if there are any stats on it, but it's what I've observed of the Twitterati who identify as both trans and in tech (with one exception, although she is now detrans).

[–]venecia[S] 21 insightful - 1 fun21 insightful - 0 fun22 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I just hate that dogmatic bullshit. It's FINE to say transphobia is against the rules, but this statement of fact is too far. Like ''no qualifiers'', really?

[–]Thatstealthygal 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Question. Why does this poster separate trans rights from LGBTQIA+?

[–]greengoddess 14 insightful - 1 fun14 insightful - 0 fun15 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

It's the mod. Why indeed. And why bleat twaw in a sub for blue collar women?

[–]Thatstealthygal 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Well I guess there are blue collar trans people too. But the heaviest emphasis is on trans which is interesting.

[–][deleted] 22 insightful - 1 fun22 insightful - 0 fun23 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Why is it always about transwomen, not transmen?

[–]vitunrotta 13 insightful - 4 fun13 insightful - 3 fun14 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

The answer is within your question, Miss Ladybrain. Transmen are just silly ladies trying to be dudes (hoohahaa) while transwomen are ACTUAL real WOMEN with PENISES being WOMEN. (Ina Garten voice: "How easy was that?")

[–]yishengqingwa666 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

BECAUSE MEN ARE PRIORITY 1. ALWAYS. OR ELSE.

[–]Radfem_the_Hun 21 insightful - 1 fun21 insightful - 0 fun22 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

LMAO and they have the comments turned off for that post! Can't take the heat.

[–]malleus_maleficarum 19 insightful - 2 fun19 insightful - 1 fun20 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I found a relevant new euphemism this week: "Trans sensitivity reader" which appears to be a Newspeak term for "Thought Police." Clearly they're out in force.

[–][deleted] 14 insightful - 1 fun14 insightful - 0 fun15 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I also noticed that the mods of r/pcos added "This sub is a safe space for LGBTQ2A+ folks" to the sub description so I'm guessing that they're also kowtowing to the TRAs - or they will when (if) the sub is made public again.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think the mod on the new PCOS “folks” is a paid mod. Person has karma and very limited post history.

[–][deleted] 12 insightful - 2 fun12 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Ask not really women is more like it.

[–]leparsdon 12 insightful - 2 fun12 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

Reddit literally took this side as well. I deleted my account once I saw the admin comment that said that "transwomen are women. Full stop"

I was done after that. Reddit is dead and I won't be going back. I hope they die a miserable internet death.

[–]pink_lioness 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

It's so silly, they aren't fooling anyone that they're woke now. Reddit is well known for being kind of like 4chan with the racism and sexism. The majority of the users there are 'problematic', and they can't ban everyone. I hope they do just die honestly.

[–]leparsdon 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Exactly. The most ridiculous stuff that can ever be imagined is happening in 2020

[–]LoganBlade 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Another subreddit on the pile of more men than women.

Coincidentally r/feemagers and r/askteengirls are majority men according to their own surveys.

[–]kuronekochan 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

AskWomen has always been full of useless sycophants.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Thank you. I always thought they were filled with either "throw your sister under the bus for daddy" women, or men. I suppose they have transmods too.

[–]beereadit 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yeah I saw... I have come to accept now that anything related to women on reddit has been overrun... I miss GC.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I miss a lot of the reddit subs I'd frequent... I was in a lot of other things aside from the subs that were banned. However, my gut told me I needed to deactivate my account after so many red flags were waiving. For at least two years, I'd consistently report flagrant neo-nazi subs, posters, and racists subs and posters. Needless to say, reddit didn't seem to give a flying shit. The only successful take down I made recently was a dude who had a photo of Taylor Swift with a swastika on her head as his profile. He was harassing women, telling them it was their duty to give birth incessantly, making weird racist comments. Must have reported him three times. They finally took him down when I pointed out the swastika. Obviously, rapey posters were never banned. Moderators on numerous subs would never stick up for posters who were obviously women. Mainstream relationship, political, career and financial subs are flooded with blatant misogynists. I saw a single mother get ripped to shreds on poverty finance, and the moderator banned ME for sticking up for her!
Some women-centered subs had right wing women moderators who'd ban any woman who made any statement questioning men's behavior. For example, I was on and contributed to a sub dedicated to women who have or had porn addicted partners. The mod eventually banned me and a few other posters for making valid points in regards to feminism, men, and pornography. Mind you that myself and these other banned posters were upvoted like crazy by the readers. Tuned out the mod was a paid therapist for "sex addictions". She didn't want to hurt her bottom line. After we were banned, one of my fellow redditors was permanently axed from reddit because this mod and her fellow mods kept harassing us and following us from sub to sub. By the time we went private, we had more than half the number of her subscribers in the span of only six months. Plenty of women who've dealt with sex addicts need to get their angst out without being accused of "misandry". We provided that... however, since we were aligned with GC, one of the mods decided we needed to go private. That was the beginning of the end for real for me. What's the use of having a sub on reddit if you're forced to go private to avoid harassment and brigading? Then once I realized "pussy pass denied" remained up when "ban femalehate subs" was banned, I impulse-nuked my account. Screw reddit. There were so many other red flags, I just can't justify remaining on their platform, even if I find the other subs useful and/or entertaining. It's obvious they are following those accounts which were tied to GC and related subs with Reddit's approval.. so even if you remain on there, you're being watched. I don't think I'd want to deal with that stress day in and day out.

[–]yishengqingwa666 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

ROFL, fuuuuuuck that shit.

[–]worried19 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It's been like that forever. This is nothing new. They won't even allow any discussion on these topics and immediately ban them for "inciting transphobia."

I'm giving up on that sub. I should have done it a long time ago, considering it made me suicidal several times. At least I won't have to listen to those women talk about how they love degrading and pornifying themselves for men.
