Kathleen Stock explains further the difference between what she calls 'gender eliminationists' and gender critical feminists.

I believe gender critical feminists focus so much on the transgender issue because the battle between the two conflicting conceptual frameworks that are involved will determine what kind of feminism we can imagine, and therefore what kind of feminism we can do. It also goes to the heart of how we define ourselves, something that people are passionate about.
