I agree. My views have stayed the same over the last decade while the "discourse" has drastically changed. I've always thought gender non-conforming people should be protected, that transsexuals should be treated as their assumed sex, and that questioning people should be properly supported. But I've also recognized the biological basis of womanhood, and I refuse to conflate male and female in spaces in which the female sex is vulnerable.

A decade ago, I did not know anyone who called themselves transgender. Limiting my social circle only to those I also knew ten years ago, I now know 4 middle-aged MTT, 3 childhood transitioners (MTT, FTT, FTT), and 2 adult FTT.
