I was instantly banned after someone tried to shit on second wave feminists and tried to twist radical feminism to fit their own (male inclusive) narrative and I explained it. It was false and ricidulous. Doesn't seem like a place for rational debate or even normal exchange.

Yes, just 15 days ago, instantly, for correcting a pretty stupid conclusion. On this ridiculous thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Feminism/comments/h9dyj3/radical_feminists_started_advocating_for/

Oh no, I mean, on SaidIt's version, /s/Feminism, not /r/Feminism. /s/Feminism is a different space, on SaidIt.

Oh, sorry, I am still so much in the reddit sphere I didn't look correctly. I'll take a look at s/feminism, thanks!

"Heavy handed about censorship". Read the sidebar, this isn't supposed to be a debate sub. You'll have that too, soon enough.

No, there has been a great deal of content that was removed on GC in the past that had nothing to do with "getting to the root of women's oppression". Women debated and discussed ideas freely all the time on GC, as they arose in conversation naturally in response to relevant current events. Women often commented with pride about how open discussion was and how little was censored.

But that doesn't reflect the reality. There was a lot that was censored, in just the same way that women are censored elsewhere and branded as "evil" for on-topic factual disagreements with transgenderist dogma.

My experience. I also occasionally saw high-quality posts and comments disappear before my eyes when refreshing the page, with no comment as to why.

that wasn't my experience in the several years I spent there. Usually what caused deletions was personal attacks and men coming along making attack comments (saying women deserved all the horrible things that happen to us, or other similar comments along those lines).

I observed those kinds of things too. But my experiences were real, and I observed things like this happening to other women too. I was excluded from a community that many women found extremely helpful and powerfully healing, for exactly the same kinds of reasons and in exactly the same way as GC was just excluded as a whole from Reddit. They knew what they were doing, and they did it anyway.
