Can we have GenderCritical on a female-owned and female-run site?

Aside from SaidIt being a terrible website, I would really like to support a female-owned and run site...I know some of us are over on Spinster...that’s my vote. On a side note, r/itsafetish just got banned

I feel like we don't fit in here. Like I saw a post on here on a different sub (or whatever they are on here) and they were criticizing how we aren't open to debate them. Like I'm not here to debate with people clearly not on my side. I just want to talk with others who are like me and believe like me.

I agree with this. Ideally, there would be multiple sites and services... some people prefer twitter/fediverse (spinster) timelines over reddit/forum styles, and vice versa.

Don’t worry, this was a quick decision on my part to reserve a space. I messaged the GC mods along with radfemanon and thankfully they are working on a private option. Thank you for your patience with this stopgap solution while we are waiting!! :)

Exactly the same things as reddit - centralised platform not under female control that could nuke you at any instant.

If you're not paying for the service, you have no rights. Mods of r/GC had no actual power at all.

Also looks like we migrated at the same time as a lot of the actually shitty subs, so expect some hate. I just saw a post on here referring to women as "holes" that are worse than pedophiles.

I presume you're actually a Saidit admin, rather than a moderator of this sub? Seems like the code should make a distinction between distinguished comments by moderators and ones by admins. If I mouse over the [M] next to your name, it says "moderator of /s/GenderCritical, speaking officially".

I've taken that issue to d3rr already. Yes, I'm SaidIt's Content Administrator.
I don't remove anything from any sub apart from spam edit or pornography.

That would be nice. Pillowfort is female owned and is a neo-livejournal type platform but it seems veeeeery libfemmy so it probably won't work out. One thing I know for sure is that a twitter or tumblr type platform won't work because you can't build a community with those. The best would probably be an old school forum website like in lipstickalley.

I saw the “GC Gets Banned” thread on Lipstick Alley yesterday and a whole lot of them were saying GC was a hugely racist sub. With tons of upvotes. I was like waaaaa?

Pillowfort is definitely libfem, it was made when people on Tumblr got mad when Tumblr banned porn. It was built so users could post their A/B/O & mpreg fanfic and porn.

Pillowfort was created before the porn ban but they definitely got some new users when the ban happened. That's kind of when I realized this wasn't going my new hangout like I hoped it would be.

why? This place guarantees free speech. The pyramid rules specifically requires people to think logically, critically and respectfully when addressing points of disagreement. I visited Spynister once and it seemed to be based on some sort of twitter format. Which I've never liked because it seems very difficult for most people to fully explore a subject in just two sentences.

Really liking this place a lot. Bonus, the pyramid rule will keep all the 14yo ejaculators out. They will NOT be able to keep up with the higher standards.
