Pornography is poison. It teaches women to think of themselves as sex objects, and it encourages men to embrace their baser impulses instead of striving for greatness. It also leads to unhealthy sex lives as people chase greater and greater dopamine highs and try to replicate stupid shit they've seen in porn.

Porn is also these days - free; it's worth asking yourself why this is - who runs these porn studios and distributors, and what are their objectives? I could answer these questions for you, but I don't want to deprive you of the journey of discovery.

/edit: /u/homeless-g_c-mod: You permanently banned me yesterday for my right wing views, so I can't reply to you in a post. I don't even know who Gail Dines is. Different perspectives can identify the same problems and even often come up with a mutually agreeable solutions.

This is how our government worked before everything became so ridiculously polarized that they can't even agree on renaming a post office.

/edit2: I can - I made posts here when you folks were in /all. Have fun.

Gail Dines is a great radfem who explains the toxicity of porn from a radfem perspective. Just because we can occasionally agree on certain topics doesn't make a gender critical feminist subreddit an appropriate place for right wingers. Literally in any other community I'd just agree with you and move on, but you're in a radfem space. Why can't you respect the subject of this forum?
