It honestly made my blood boil seeing all those disgusting porn subs like 'misogynyfetish' stay up when our subs got banned.

These people are dopamine addicts! Of freaking course they aren't going to stop supplying their userbase with their drug of choice. That would be most counterproductive.

Not even that they're still up. Just the fact that they exist at all is horrifying enough.

I'm actually kind of relieved. There is porn everywhere, so it's nice that we can browse without stumbling upon some random dick. Seriously a lot of the Reddit subreddit names seem innocent until you enter.

[–]Turnaround 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

To be fair, I've been on reddit 8+ years and never randomly stumbled upon a dick.

[–]GConly 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Me neither. Random teen muff though, all over the goddam place on the front page.

[–][deleted] 26 insightful - 3 fun26 insightful - 2 fun27 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Oh my god i didn't even notice this, but I like it.

[–]yishengqingwa666 24 insightful - 7 fun24 insightful - 6 fun25 insightful - 7 fun -  (0 children)

Nice. Porn users are shit, they can stay in their internet toilet elsewhere.

[–]teelo 24 insightful - 1 fun24 insightful - 0 fun25 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I was surprised even Reddit allowed that. Those subs were always 4-chan levels of discussion.

[–]fuckingsealions 21 insightful - 4 fun21 insightful - 3 fun22 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

Oh that actually feels principled and safe. Is this the upside down?

[–]Skyler 21 insightful - 2 fun21 insightful - 1 fun22 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah with porn you never know if it was filmed with human trafficking or coercion so fuck that

[–]oatmealhockey 19 insightful - 4 fun19 insightful - 3 fun20 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

It is sad how low the bar is now lol

[–][deleted] 16 insightful - 2 fun16 insightful - 1 fun17 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

Pornography is poison. It teaches women to think of themselves as sex objects, and it encourages men to embrace their baser impulses instead of striving for greatness. It also leads to unhealthy sex lives as people chase greater and greater dopamine highs and try to replicate stupid shit they've seen in porn.

Porn is also these days - free; it's worth asking yourself why this is - who runs these porn studios and distributors, and what are their objectives? I could answer these questions for you, but I don't want to deprive you of the journey of discovery.

/edit: /u/homeless-g_c-mod: You permanently banned me yesterday for my right wing views, so I can't reply to you in a post. I don't even know who Gail Dines is. Different perspectives can identify the same problems and even often come up with a mutually agreeable solutions.

This is how our government worked before everything became so ridiculously polarized that they can't even agree on renaming a post office.

/edit2: I can - I made posts here when you folks were in /all. Have fun.

Based

Gail Dines, amirite? God, her lectures are so eye opening.

[–]homeless-g_c-mod 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Gail Dines is a great radfem who explains the toxicity of porn from a radfem perspective. Just because we can occasionally agree on certain topics doesn't make a gender critical feminist subreddit an appropriate place for right wingers. Literally in any other community I'd just agree with you and move on, but you're in a radfem space. Why can't you respect the subject of this forum?

[–]a_74512 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

who runs these porn studios and distributors, and what are their objectives?

I don't know what it says about my character that I'm able to pick up on this dog whistle while all the women rating you insightful are clueless... You're implying it's a certain race doing this, but the answer is that it's greedy rich capitalists of many races. So maybe communism is the answer? The Communist Party of China bans porn.

Different perspectives can identify the same problems and even often come up with a mutually agreeable solution.

Everyone hated the absolute failure of a solution that your group came up with last time, if you know what I mean. That's why people are uncomfortable hearing your ideas. I'm guessing you wouldn't be banned if you didn't try to steer the conversation in these directions.

AHS browses this saidit and has already posted about it on reddit, the trans cult will try to twist anything on here into propaganda against radical feminism. Ever heard the saying "Never wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty."? Even if radfems debated you on this question and naturally came out strongly on top, the winner might not end up looking good to outside observers anyway. Maybe a radfem would be willing to try to change your mind in another sub, but not in this one.

You won't for long when this sub is invaded by neonazis.

[–]Chadler 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Unfortunately likely. These Voat wignats have absolutely no self-awareness, I can't imagine any reddit alternative gaining traction with how they behave.

[–]radfemanon 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Me too!

[–]-thedarkhorse- 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Sounds good to me.

[–]zyxzevn 9 insightful - 3 fun9 insightful - 2 fun10 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

After saidit and others gain some track,
Reddit will just be a porn site with bots.

[–]bald-janitor 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

They will come for this site next and overthrow magnora

[–]Cubone 9 insightful - 2 fun9 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Somehow I accidentally wandered into the politics subsaidit and thought it was GC since the page headers all look the same. I was confused and worried for a sec that antisemites had come on down to our community. facepalm

[–]wendigalea 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

I'm finding the interface confusing. I think this reddit alt is easier: https://raddle.me/forums But perhaps this is the best place.

[–]FlickingMarvellous 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

I’m finding it a bit weird/redundant that there’s a big block of text about the sub at the top of each post.

[–]Takseen 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Oh, you're right! It only does that on the mobile web version, for some reason. And I can't find a way to disable it. On desktop that block of text is in a sidebar. I just downloaded the Saidit app, it doesn't have that problem.

[–]FlickingMarvellous 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Oh, that makes sense!

I’m on iOS, so no app for me.

[–]Rubyredpython 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I had no idea there was an app. Navigating with a mobile browser is confusing.

[–]green_olive 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Unfortunately Raddle is an anarchist reddit clone that heavily supports TRAs and other libfem positions which is why Chapo moved there. They would not welcome us.

[–]bald-janitor 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Download saidit app from fdroid

[–]DifferentAirGC 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Bless. There is still a button to view "adult content" on the preferences though, any idea of what they consider adult content?

[–]mharmless 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

When making a sub you can mark it as adult content, and given that porn is disallowed I assume this would be used for things like WatchPeopleDie or other similar items.
