I’m not fighting with this person, I’m just making a stand for treating people correctly (in the world or online) and behaving at an acceptable level. I understand that different people have different interpretation of what is acceptable.
In my opinion certain types of behaviour is unacceptable and causes issues and will continue to cause issues over time, within a team/group/clan/guild or community. I’ve been involved in online games for 15 years now. In WoW days I have been a Raid Officer and Recruitment Office in guilds from 40-80 people, casual to semi-pro, achieve world 4th in Raid clear and Oceanic 2nd.
I’ve see bad behaviour and dramas many times, and with experience got to know the types of behaviour that causes splits and fragmentation issues within groups and high performance teams.
The current issues I see with behaviour, maybe I’m being too hard/set in my ways, but I’ve been around long enough to know that I don’t want anything to do with people that treat others poorly. General lack of respect for others, lack of common courtesy, poor online and raid etiquette, users and abusers – I don’t have time for any of that.
The details and context:
1) Natalie ditch her Clan’s raid to go raid with another clan (LOC), this left her clan a player short which took 30mins to fill before Raid could start:
Ditching the clan speaks for itself.
2) In one session:
o Natalie held up a Raid from starting, for around 15mins as she was on a phone call.
o Natalie gave an Eagle Bearer (EB) away to a junior Clan member over a more senior Clan member
o Natalie rage quit Clan’s Discord
There was a Speed run group running/testing at 7pm, Natalie and 2 others were signed up for Raid 7:30. At 7:30 the Speed-run guys decide to stop and support the Clan Raid (do the right thing by the clan…), then re-start Speed-run group again after the Clan Raid.
So there were 7 people in the Raid, 3 people waiting for Raid to finish. Natalie is off on the phone for close to 15mins holding 10 people up.
At the start of the Raid it was discussed that there were 2 people without EB – Mr R & Mr BS, Mr R is due next.
Based on standard practice and raid etiquette (given no progression requirements in play), drops go to either agreed player or more senior player 1st.
Natalie gave the EB to Mr BS, Mr BS had only been at the Clan 3-4weeks.
Mr R has been at the Clan longer, has assisted in Raid Progression, had run Natalie through on her first Raid clear and many times after. Yet she chose to treat him poorly.
If the tables were turned and Mr R had EB to give, and gave to Mr BS, Natalie would have been pi$$ed (probably rage quit based on current history).
When Raid finished – players left her group, some finished for night, some to return to Speed-run. Natalie got pi$$ed and rage quit Clan Discord.
She sent messages about being unfairly treated as people left group.
Clannies had to pander to her to get her to come back, yet she was the one that cr@ped over the Clan and Clan Member, she spat the dummy and through her toys out the cot. She has never apologised to Clan or Clannie for actions.
3) Natalie made a bitchy comment about one of the Clan members as she logged off, after she was carried through a Flawless Raid:
About 2weeks from Natalie’s dummy spit, Clan group was going to run someone through the Raid for Flawless achievement, it was Natalie.
While running someone through for an achievement who doesn’t deserve it… treats the Clan and a member badly, made me feel dirty and discussed. I helped anyway.
After Raid completed and I left, I’m advised by other member that Natalie says an ‘odd’ ‘bitchy’ comment, possibly in reference to me. So much for being grateful for being carried through everything for from first Raid completions to Flawless achievement…
It was at this point I raised the issues with some of the Clan, that I was not happy supporting a person that treats other poorly. I won’t stand for it in the world, I won’t stand for it online.
4) Natalie changed from ‘Accepted’ (she was the 1st to sign-up days earlier) in Scheduled Raid to ‘Decline’ about 15mins prior to Raid start – as she didn’t was to raid with new people.
Ditching the clan and a new player speaks for itself, but even more so when Natalie has been the one that’s always been carried and looked after previously but now won’t help others in the clan…
It was later that night, when asked why didn’t you Raid? She responded ‘there were new people’.
It was only 1 new person signed-up (and he had the clan helping him gear up for the week prior) and she CBF helping when many people have gone out of their way to help her. Incredibly poor form IMO!
While these issues are not earth scattering by themselves – it does illustrate a pattern of behaviour and attitude. I’m my experience this only leads to more dramas over time and effecting teams and groups, to a point when good people and good players move on. I believe it’s already starting to divide the members of the clan.

I was not impressed with Nats response last night why she bailed. "There were new people".

Nat's issue is quid pro quo - she seems happy enough to get a flawless run, but when asked maybe to do some actual work...shirks.

Disappointing to hear, but I think you might be right. Wanting the achievements and notoriety that the clan can help produce, but not the helping and training of others. I hope thats not the case.

Nat doesn't respond much if you try to talk to her...so you try to make the effort and get no response
Generally treating people poorly online should not be ignored – people should not put there head in the sandy. People and the community need to make a stand for values and not condoned poor behaviour.
It goes to show that being a Ubisoft Star Player, doesn’t translate into being a nice person.
