Mount & Blade: Warband... AGAIN. Why? Because it's the best game ever made.

I play on PC, I think it's on both PS4 and XB1 as well. I always play in 1st person.

There is no magic, it's purely medieval semi-realism and incredible fun.

It's a magical mix up of strategy on a map and first/third person combat!

Yes, when you are charging through the fog in 1st person view with your army of hundreds behind you and an enemy somewhere in front of you and you know the clash will hit hard... The adrenaline of the skill-based combat... It's a heady mix.

Have you ever ruled a kingdom/province? I got as far as having one castle once but everyone hated me and I kinda got stuck.

I have conquered the whole map more than once.

So yes. For people to not hate you, you have to hog the power. Keep enough fiefs that your tax inefficiency is preposterously high and your vassals have to keep sucking up to you in order to try and obtain even a village from you.

Also, it helps a lot if you build relations with lords of all factions before making your own faction. Then you will recruit lords much more easily.
