Sennheiser, an audiophile company that makes among the best audiophile headsets in the world, also make gaming headsets. I've gone through a couple sets over the years, they are awesome.

I have a Sennheiser mic to record my guitar and it sounds amazing. It's made in Germany too! I loved my cheap 50$ Sennheiser headphones as well. Perfectly balanced sound with no exaggerated bass response. I'll buy that brand before any of that Bose or Beats crap.

I have SteelSeries Arctis Pros and they are incredible. And before this pair I had another pair of SteelSeries that I loved.

TBO though I have really stepped away from headphone as I felt it was affecting my hearing. I use them sparingly now, typically when playing with friends when the mic is a necessity.
