Why do most gaming couch shitters know only the bare basics of how an economy works and mostly the liberal (modern) teachings if even that much?

It doesn't any better in the adult world. Adults who care for wisdom and knowledge are seen as eccentric, whereas pursing food and amusement is the norm.

So the 'Just give me MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE games!' isn't really any better? At least Steam has spring cleaning events to dust off your old games you never knew you had and get badges for. I'm surprised Nintendo doesn't do something similar.
