I mostly play PC games these days. I wouldn't consider myself a diehard Nintendo fan, but I have enjoyed many of their games over the years. My first console was a NES, and Earthbound and Chrono Trigger on the Super Nintendo are two of my favorite RPGs of all time. My last Nintendo console was a Wii, I considered getting a Switch but decided to go with a Steam Deck preorder instead.

I got a switch and a pc myself and I say go for the deck. There's no point in buying games twice and Nintendo never put up sales on the popular games in any case.

Use Cemu for Breath of the Soy and enjoy modding the hell out of it

I just like my switch, its a nice piece of hardware with some good games on it. Despite how woke the english version is, Animal Crossing New Horizons is neat (I play it in japanese anyway), there's also Mad Rat Dead, Bloodstained, it's spinoff, Axiom Verge, Luminous Avenger, its got things I like. Labo vehicle kit is awesome too if you're into gimmicky things (it's actually got great games in it too(big adventure mode and lots of smaller, more arcade like games)). The control scheme alone makes it a very neat thing, I love motion controls done well.
