Ha, ha, ha...of course. You won't say. Naturally, because that would destroy your narrative of being pure and good like Bernie Sanders (a Judas goat for the corporate Democrats as you know of course) told everyone. Riddle me this: would you be able to afford all of those fantastically expensive social programs without a distant foreign country paying a ruinous amount from their own citizens' pockets for your defense? Military spending is incredibly costly, and you've got an idiot to do it for you. European politicians were quite open about refusing to carry their fair share of the load, saying clearly that if they spent the required amount on defense they would be voted out of office by their own voters. The vast majority of Europe haven't paid their fair share for decades.

Do we really have something to lose as Americans if we pull back our external activity? The Cold War is over, and it seems the more fingers we have in pies like NATO, the Middle Eastern countries, and so forth, the more problems we create.

Let Europe defend Europe. They are not incapable nascent and fragile democracies anymore. Giving Europe its self-determination is the mark of a true ally. Granted, it might mean compromises to their various social welfare states or tax increases because military might is expensive, but it is their decision to make.

Come on, tell us where you're from. Is it one of the countries whose ass we kicked, or whose ass we saved?

There is no fair share to pay.

Sure there is. Member states must contribute 2% of their budget to defense spending. Most aren't doing it and haven't done it for a long time. Pointing out that it's not part of the treaty that founded NATO still does nothing to stop the fact that NATO countries are worthless freeloaders who aren't bearing their fair share of the load. And they do it with glee, just like you, pointing out that they can't be forced to play fairly and that their people would vote them out if they implemented a level playing field.

Just stop bullying countries like Venezuela and start taxing your damn billionaires

Oh, you're one of those. I thought Venezuela wasn't socialist and never was in the first place? Did that change while I wasn't looking? Was there a Hate Week where the speaker changed his idea in mid-sentence and everyone pretended not to notice?

Demographically, Islam is a future keystone of Europe. The American left recognizes this and that's why it wisely treats Islam with a respect that is both morally and politically sound. Islamophobia, a kind of racism, is irrational and somewhat subconscious in the white mind – in the same place as conspiracy theories and paranoia. One doesn't need to know anything about Islamic theology to recognize that.

European welfare state model is unsustainable, particularly w/o the hapless US taxpayers funding their defense.

So the fact that you steadfastly refuse to say which country you're from can only lead me to believe it's one of the deplorable ones.

What I'm saying is that not paying anything other than accepting the privilege the US demand to play World Bullies-- I mean World Police as they see fit to serve themselves -- no least for their own protection (see Cold War) -- is already all the fair share that needs to be paid.

No. This is untrue. You're not paying your fair share of the load, you know it, and you refuse to pay. That's why you can have nice things. Negligible defense spending.

Ask yourself: why have the US been tolerating the bad "fair share payment" morale for so long?

Because globalists have been in charge of the US government, and it's not their money. Why should they care?

Islamophobia is indeed a form of racism. That you deny it makes me all the more sure you have a huge problem with it in your country. After all, why refuse to answer such an easy question? And in such an intellectually dishonest way, by implying I'm some kind of creep.

Nah, I've had plenty of conversations with real leftists before. And they all argue dishonestly like you.

Say, how about that Venezuela? Socialist or no?

Not sure why it matters, but socialist, of course.

Wait a minute...Venezuela stopped being socialist the minute the wheels began falling off. In a "we have always been at war with Eurasia" moment, they went from being a shining model of socialism the world could follow, to aren't socialist and never were in the first place. Didn't you get the memo?
