Soon the only games that will be developed are games with in-game purchases and a free to enter price. This micro-transaction age is forever going to ruin the gaming scene and kill all creativity withing gaming.
Who's going to develop games like they did back in the 1990s and early 2000s, when just adding some non sensical ingame currency (that btw ruins the challenge of the game, and lets rich kids just cruise on by the mage) worth up to 100 dollars each is going to make way more profits for devs than traditional games ever will.
So many games will be ruined in the sense that there will be no more sense of accomplishment, when you can just buy your way to beating the game and reaching the top of the multiplayer online charts.
Storytelling pacing in games will also take a huge hit, and be disrupted by difficulty spikes that devs put in the storymode deliberately to make hesitant players to spend their money.
