Isometric Sonic? It looks a lot more fun than the genesis Sonic.

It wasn't though. The orginal 3 sonics + Knuckles were designed for speed. Sonic 3D blast was designed mostly for the graphic, which ended with it being a mess of a game where the goal was basically to find all the enemies on every level, kill them, then escort the birds to the exit.

It was definitely an oddball in the Sonic series that was clearly the product of the 3D fad in the industry (this was released in 1996, the same year Mario RPG and Mario 64). Honestly this game should have been reskinned into its own game since it didn't work for Sonic.
