She said men are saying estrogen makes them bad at math, not trans women. Trans women aren't men.

You've been here long enough to notice our definitions are based on biological sex, not "gender identity". The fact that you disagree with this is not excuse to pretend not to understand who we are talking about.

I guess you have a point.

So now will you explain why it’s totally not sexism for these transwomen to call their hormone meddling bimbo pills? We can finish with the word policing you use to avoid questions that show the huge holes in tra thinking?

[–]GenderbenderShe/her/hers 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

It is sexism, and sexism is wrong whether it comes from a man, woman or enby.

[–]HouseplantWomen who disagree with QT are a different sex 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

So why defend it and try to convince us it isn’t?

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

You didn't answer my question. Did you not understand that she was talking about transwomen?

[–]HouseplantWomen who disagree with QT are a different sex 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Lol she can’t admit that without also admitting she’s never done anything in this sub but dodge questions that show her how the ideology she subscribed to is nonsensical.

[–]HouseplantWomen who disagree with QT are a different sex 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (20 children)

Then why do they take estrogen?

[–]GenderbenderShe/her/hers 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (19 children)

So they can appear like women. Same reason trans men take testosterone.

Women don’t need to take estrogen to appear as women. Clearly if they have to take something to attempt to alter themselves into looking like women, they were not women who got the prescriptions for estrogen.

Some women do need to take estrogen to appear as women. Some men need to take testosterone to appear as men.

Nope. Language policing will not work for you. Men who take estrogen are men. Women who take testosterone are women. You will not make that language change by being deliberately obtuse or by refusing to engage with questions and latching on to this.

[–]GenderbenderShe/her/hers 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (15 children)

Except we already changed the language. When Elliot Page came out as trans, his Wikipedia article was edited to replace the pronouns with he/him pronouns. Most mainstream social media sites do not welcome gender critical views.

[–]BiologyIsReal 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

All those changes are happening from top to bottom and without any input from the general public. Yes, mainstream media and Big Tech are completely on board with "inclusive" language and "gender identity", but that doesn't mean that most people are fine with this. Just compare all the Media praising Hubbar "historical" debut at the Olympics and the reaction from the public seeing a man competing as a "woman".

[–]GenderbenderShe/her/hers 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

How do you know this is happening without any input from the public? We elect our politicians. We choose what products to buy.

The language was not changed, it’s been coerced. The language is functionally useless. You cannot and will not force anyone here to obey you.

This is a ridiculous way to avoid answering things you don’t want to. Engage in reasonably good faith for once.

[–]GenderbenderShe/her/hers 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (10 children)

How do you coerce a language change? In order for language to change, most of the public has to agree to it. And we did.

[–]HouseplantWomen who disagree with QT are a different sex 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

How about you engage in good faith and answer the question put to you instead of further diverting?

What makes you think you, personally, are the voice of the public? Do you truly believe that a section of the American public are representative of the world in opinion and values?
