"Sex" is not defined as "opposite" and that's where your argument fails from the very start.

Sex means reproduction which is done by a male and a female, something a sex does with the opposite sex. How do the words "homosexuality" and "same sex" make sense then?

A beings sex is a descriptor of their reproductive state, sure, but that doesn't reflect how they physically use their reproductive organs. I think you're missing that point in your question here. Two male or female sex beings are still male or female regardless of their sexual activity.
