If sex is a spectrum then there aren’t any males or females and your question doesn’t make sense. There have been people with XY chromosomes or CAIS who’ve given birth before.

Just a artificial social category like race

humans are bipeds despite some people being born without legs. Intersex people who are actually between the sexes are very rare. Sex is still a binary. Every mother was female & every father was male. It's integral to the reproduction method of humans.

Race is a spectrum, sex isn't.

If some humans aren’t bipedal, the humans are not as a whole bipedal.

So you admit now that sex being a binary does not describe all humans?

Nope sex and race are a spectrum just as species are.

Those humans are still bipedal. Neither mutation nor mutilation can change that classification, otherwise people without legs wouldn't be handicapped.

If not all humans have two legs, then no, humans as a species aren’t bipedal. Your generalized abstraction of reality isn’t how things actually are in the real world.

You’re correct that differently abled people aren’t objectively handicapped, but only subjectively so by the people who believe that their particular set of abilities are the default.

Do you not know what a birth defect is?

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

I don’t believe in them. Today’s “birth defect” is tomorrow’s evolutionary adaptation

So you'd take issue with someone saying that human beings don't have horns because once upon a time a single human had a horn?

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Yep. It’s insensitive

[–]SnowAssMan 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Some people don't believe that it's insensitive, therefore you can't say it's insensitive, since your philosophy prevents you from saying anything that isn't 100% true, 100% of the time.
