Oh God, I hate this. He didn't stop shit. The massacre went ahead as scheduled. He just found some troops who didn't have orders to shoot yet. That's all.

It's such a dirty lie. "One man could stop an army." He briefly delayed a single tank platoon. He didn't stop an army. He didn't stop them. They went ahead with their route. Plenty of other Chinese tried the same thing at Tiananmen Square and got mashed into jelly. The soldiers hosed down gallons of blood into the sewers after their work was done.
