Thanks for the link, interesting.

That audible "click" turned out to be only an expandable baton, thought for a second this was gonna get more "interesting" lol.

To be fair though they were asking for trouble. If they did it here they'd likely get the same treatment, at least when the cases were still high. Some people were forcibly detained here as well.

Dunno about 'asking for trouble'. I'm not sure why masks are the river they don't wish to cross, but at this point it's really hard to argue those rules are doing anything.

And in the end, they were protesting against rules they are precieving as oppresive, while policemen went full ŠTB on their asses in order to enforce those rules. Not a day I expected to see again.

We still have this airborne disease going around, and what's stopping it is masks and respirators, no? Putting a mask on for 20 minutes or whatever you spend in the shop is not that hard.

While I acknowledge that whoever wants to be protected had enough opportunities to get vaccinated or can do other stuff like wear a respirator, it's still irresponsible and anti-social to ignore the rules.

Not saying they deserve to get beat up for it, but why can't they just put the damn mask on? It's just a mask, not Bill Gates' 5G chips.

Is it though? It's gonna be 2 years soon and disease doesn't look stopped at all 😅

Anyway, I think for them, masks are easiest 'symbol' to attack. Maybe even only symbol - it's not like there's any other policy affecting people directly and it's not like they can go and take over bancrupted factory.

I'd say that's because people don't care about the rules... if not in public spaces, I see it at work where people regularly meet each other and generally don't care about the rules.

Anyway, I think for them, masks are easiest 'symbol' to attack.

That's true and I kind of understand that - our former president Klaus is known for this for example.

Still consider it a bit silly to be honest, because when I see someone like that the message I get is not "the lockdowns and government suck" but "here, have some of my potentially infectious breath in this closed space we currently have to share".
