I lived in Newfoundland for a summer. Maybe you wouldn't think it but there's so much to see and do. And yet not. Like most places I guess, rich with local flavour and culture - but you have to seek it out, and have some means to travel (ie. gas, car), be sustainable (ie. food, shelter), and participate (if/when there are fees, parks, stores, etc).
