Think OP could of ended with something a little less inflammatory than we need a new Hitler. If you're really trying to have a conversation or educate people on a certain subject making an attempt to be as off-putting as possible is usually a good tactic. I agree with what you said. The pervious poster in this thread is treating OP as the dumb one without asking to clarify his position, but also he could of articulated his point in a more constructive manner.

    There's nothing to debate. There's no nuance necessary for this conversation. Hitler was the epitome of evil, and if you aren't able to recognize that, there is something mentally wrong with you.

    Oh I don't know, he was a little over the top, sure, but his heart was in the right place and he did get Germany back on top, if only briefly. To have the dirty French dictating to you would be insufferable so I can see the motivation. One thing you have to take into account is that the history we have been taught, written by the victors, is no doubt heavily biased.

    He persecuted the jews because he said they were greedy dogs, which they are. He tried to subjugate the russian hoards because he considered them almost sub-human, which they are. A lot of the Führer's actions, which seem extreme by today's standards, no doubt made a lot of sense back then. And who knows if the spread of rabid communism would have been stopped at the iron curtain if he hadn't incited the western powers to rearm and march across Europe?

    Who knows, perhaps he was the ultimate false flag to stop communism in it's tracks...
