I know it's considered sacrilege in fantasy circles but I thought The Name of the Wind was considerably overrated. Ya his "nice guy" relationship got on my nerves. Kvothe as a whole is a Mary Sue. Plus hundreds of pages of him trying to make ends meet as a kid got old to me.
