I really used to like her.

She wrote a really great book about Gulags.

But she has such a huge blind spot for problems on her own side it's actually terrifying.

They say with historians some times they turn into character types from the period they study.

Here she is brushing away a question just like a Stalinist official of old might well have.

I used to respect the Polish government for turning away migrants and standing up to the EU. That all changed in 2020, when the same government imposed strict covid measures on the people and continued to do so until 2022. Also in 2020, that same government where whinging about the Belarusian government rigging their elections as if that's any of their business. And now this shit, all because Polish politicians have some massive hate boner for Russia. Poland is against LGBT, yet they're sucking up to the EU and the US, who are spreading LGBT across the world. Meanwhile, the Russian government is telling gay people to stop showing off.

Sorry, but the Polish government are neocon cucks. They are not based and redpilled at all. If there's a country in Europe that is actually based, I present to you Hungary. Hungary has their shit together better than every other European country.
