And then they will teach Sweden why you should never let people like that into your country.

Indeed - socks wonders why Russian propaganda is so often on Saidit, as if there are Saiditors who are either gullible, or who LOVE pictures of half-naked Putin on horseback. (And I would agree that there is a problem with radicalized religious people - of Abrahamic religions - in various countries, and that they should be studied.)

Nice homophobia slipped in there.

Not really a phobia of Saiditors and their love of pictures of naked Putin, but rather curious about them.

MALE genital mutilation is wrong.

Kettle is black is it?

I definitely agree that circumcision as a practice also needs to die, but the most common types of FGM are more severe procedures than circumcision is.

The majority of male sexual pleasure nerves are found in the gliding mechanism of the foreskin. It's not some minor flap of skin; it's pretty much the whole shebang.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Fucking is still fun without a foreskin, not so sure about without a clit.

[–]Bigs 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Many Muslim women love fucking without the tip of their clit, so that's OK right?

[–]fuckupaddams 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

I'm staunchly against all genital mutilation. Circumcision is pointless and cruel and FGM is abhorrent. Don't want any doctor snipping off the foreskin of baby boys especially for aesthetic reasons (my boyfriend's is uncut and it's cute as fuck. Totally unnecessary.) But you have to admit the village elders holding down a preteen girl while her clit is removed with a knife and no anesthesia because God doesn't want her to feel pleasure during sex is.... Well. Somehow something you have to convince people not to do.

Ok female

[–]Bigs 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Well the places that hold down girls without painkillers hold down boys without painkillers too, and for the exact same reason, to reduce sexual pleasure.

What sickens me is how Americans can see it's wrong to do it to girls but are determined to remain blind to how it's equally wrong to do it to boys

[–]fuckupaddams 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

It's funny how you willfully ignore half my comment. Oh well

[–]Bigs 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You seem to be ignoring my entire post...

Both are done to young children or babies, depending on location. Both involve mutilating the genitals by cutting off the primary pleasure nerves, clitoris on girls, the foreskin on boys. Places where it's done with broken glass, sharpened bottletops or knives, without any painkiller, do it the same to both sexes, likewise countries that use sterile instruments and painkillers use them for both sexes.

Or did you think sub-Saharan Africa whips out an airconditioned hospital, a crack team of trained surgeons and some special equipment and drugs for the boys, but just "holds down with knives" for the girls?

How about we convince people not to do THAT?

If they honestly don't know that violence is wrong, then there is no hope for them. Toddlers can figure it out.

    [–]ukrdude10 5 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 3 fun -  (7 children)

To be fair, most Americans don't know that violence is wrong.

    [–]bobbobbybob 7 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

    why is violence wrong?

straight up question. A dead enemy is no longer giving you grief. A robber with his fingers removed cannot steal.

I'm not 100% convinced that we are not always ruled by violence or the threat of violence, we just don't see it in the west, as its just 'the law'

    [–]ukrdude10 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Violence is generally bad because it leads to more violence, by reducing the value of a human being, that's my general reasoning. The law and the state are also violent institutions. We expect police and military to ward off threats, but when they start abusing the power against us, the results are horrifying.

I've come to the conclusion that humans are just fucked up nasty creatures in their nature. This is why I am not having kids, just waiting for an asteroid, nukes or a real pandemic to kill us off.

    [–][deleted] 3 insightful - 4 fun3 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

Reducing the value of human life is bad... therefore I hope humans go extinct.

    i'm not sure

Violence is generally bad because it leads to more violence

is true. violence often ends more violence

If the police don't arrest them for it, then it must be morally okay./s

For most of human history violence has been praised as a positive trait.

Is the West which is unusual in it's distaste towards it.

Toddler's learn from their parents, they don't work out things are wrong. They don't even get theory of mind until 3 or 5 years old.

In their home countries, capital punishments are no joke. When they see that they can have some time in a western prison with free food, it doesn't sound that unpleasant compared to the living conditions back at their country. Many of them laugh at such a prospect.

Rape and murder in their country means getting some hellish time in prison before execution, while in a European country means a few years in a relatively comfortable prison networking with others of the same feather.

    [–]bobbobbybob 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

    their unholy book glorifies violence.

The idea that a citizen is not violent is a very western one, where we give up our personal violence and trust the state to use it instead. As civilisation fails, personal violence needs must increase.

    [–]AnarchySpeach 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Brainwash the toddlers with enough spooky-sky-man and beatings. Repeat for 20 years. Suddenly the violence is okay.

    [–]DannyBoy 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

    spooky-sky-man

i cant tell you what i know, but i can suggest that if you think that we are alone, i would suggest that you rethink that one.

At least they are admitting issues and beginning steps to fix things. Now I gotta ask whether they will boot those that don't get with the program? If not then this won't do much

Why not just print it in their in-flight magazine on the flight back home?
