Don't even joke about that. There are people all along the seafront as we speak.
Having said that, it's about a mile from shore, underwater, and a lot of it's munitions are probably sodden and no longer viable. There's also a substantial sea wall facing it. The time it's most likely to detonate is during a storm bad enough to move the thing about (it's half buried in mud in its own scooped out dip) so people aren't likely to be near the shore when it does go up.
The Tesco up by the seafront would by a right mess. It's also possible that a surge of water could pulse up the Thames and wreck the flood barrier.
