Governments prioritizing cheap labor over the welfare of their own citizens yet again. Not surprising, it's been going on for a while. The politicians don't care, they'll be dead by the time the country predictably turns into the same sort of hellhole those middle eastern dystopias are.

cheap labor

That's assuming these "refugees" would work rather than leech off the social security system. The entire immigration politics are about the elite (rich) establishment wanting to put the poor people back where they belong, away from political power, therefore letting immigrants drag down the demographics of poor people in general and then justifying cuts to social security etc. People who have to fight invaders for their food and life don't have time to pay attention to politics.
