If it wasn't for my husband's addiction to MasterChef I'd have bailed on the BBC years ago.

They knew all about Saville and protected him.

They've posted edited crap to mislead the public.

Not worth a damn penny.

Is there a way of obtaining MasterChef by downloading it from somewhere? He could cook a few very nice meals with the saving from the licence fee!

Most people can't download. All they know is pay, and watch. You can explain bittorrent until you're blue in the face and get nowhere.

The single exception is if it's something they really really want. Like old hockey games or something. Then they'll make the effort...but sometimes not even then.

Why bittorrent? There's dozens of streaming sites if you don't use google to look. I've already watched Masterchef UK, US, and Australia this way.

I saw an advert on Facebook for Sky and some of the top comments were cord cutters who were advocating for things like the Firestick and an IPTV subscription. I think with the economic downturn following Covid-19 people will be trying new things to save money, similar to how in the last recession many switched to the discounters and stayed.

Is the IPTV cheaper than BBC? I'm too much of a cheapskate for netflix. Until they shut down all the streaming sites, which are as easy to use as youtube, I'll pass. With the streaming method, you could open it on your laptop and cast or hdmi connect it. If you want to browse through channels, there might be something you can do with a android tv box. I was able to install foreign language channels just by looking around tv box discussions.

  1. Follow this link to declare you no longer need a license.

  2. Cancel your direct debit.

  3. Defund the BBC.

Don't fund pedophiles.

No chance the bbc will be defunded. The CBC in Canada has fewer viewers, I read that like only 5% of Canadians watch CBC yet they’re getting more funding than ever. It’s cheap government propaganda.

But does the CBC have the power to fine and imprison people for not paying? The BBC does. That's what people are protesting.

Cbc does NOT have this power your are correct. CBC actually competes with private media to sell ads, something the BBC does not do.
