Usually when people say that they're implying that they'd like to downvote the comment they're replying to. I still don't know what I said that disturbed you if that's the case. If it's not the case, then I still don't know what you'd like to downvote. Or maybe you just randomly comment-reply that everywhere, perhaps even on things you like.

Your original comment said you believe LGB people are "confused". (Straights too, for that matter.) I believe that is a downvote-worthy comment.

Ah, you're reading waaaaaaaaay too much into it. Ironically you seemed to be confused about what my intentions were/are so I will clarify.

It most certainly was simpler when there were only a few "identities". Everyone is confused in some ways. And yes, I specifically intentionally included straights to queer along the gay old spectrum including bisexual in the middle.

I myself have been bisexual and I have gotten HEAVY flack from the conservative (in this respect) Texan admin of SaidIt for openly talking about it and other sexual matters like an adult, ironically on a forum that promotes free speech. The former other admin from Nor Cal was confused about his problems with me too, and to this day I remain puzzled about what I did "wrong".

I say "have been" because as I grew up I "played" less and sought "more" in relationships, and then had a tedious health issue for a dozen years and haven't had sex in almost as many - so I'm kinda voluntarily celibate and besides, I never really identified as anything other than a human, and was never hiding nor open about my former sex life until I came to SaidIt over a year and a half ago, and only when it would come up now and then.

Now that you know, you may resume judging everyone being the only person on the planet who is not confused about anything.

I'm confused about a lot of things. Sexuality isn't one of them.

You're luckier than most, not just because you're solid in the latter, but also because you can admit the former. IMO, there's too much certainty in the world and too much of that is coming from "authorities" closing down any room for discovery.

Wholeheartedly agree with your last sentences... maybe with the first one too. I have a love-hate relationship with academics and experts because the academy tends to shut down non-sanctioned exploration.

Indeed, and the more power they accumulate the more hypocrisy they utilize to protect and obfuscate it. Like a minimum wage, I'd bet if there was a maximum wage, we'd see a lot less of this and less corruption of the sciences and academics (and a hole lot of new loop hole corruption trying to work around the maximum). I can dream.
