fighting wars for the deep state agendas and being a cog of the mic machinery is not the smartest move (as we can see from the pic). neither is smoking!

this is not patriotism. this is the exploitation of patriotism.

Do you find that your humorless dogmatism wins you many converts to your side?

Or does it alienate people?

[–]useless_aether 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

it both wins and alienates the right kind of people! it's a win-win :-))

I encounter many Europeans, and it seems to me that these pompous, supercilious Europeans have a strong dislike for America in spite of the trillions of dollars we've spent and continue to spend on them. They love our handouts, but hate us and at the same time, use our money to buy from the very entities from whom we're protecting them, for example, gas from Russia. The Europeans really are a very ungrateful lot!

I think back to many American acts of generosity, such as, but certainly not limited to the Berlin airlift, only to have our generosity forgotten by them. Subsidizing Europe and the NATO free ride must stop. We really are being taken advantage of, in a very big way, by Europeans who despise us and wouldn't piss on us if we were on fire.

What a stereotype! I don't think you've met many real Europeans. Where have you met all these Euros?

[–]Chipit[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (14 children)

You literally posted a belittling, hurtful comment and you're going to suddenly claim to be friends?

Once upon a time, we felt kinship to Europeans because we shared culture and values, but those times are gone. A lot of Americans wonder: why the hell are we pledged to defend to the death people who consider us deplorable?

I haven't heard a kind word for years and years and years. Americans on holiday will lie and say they're Canadian just to avoid being verbally abused. Please direct me to this place of friendship for Americans and our military, because to me it's as mythical as Stoval'Kor.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (6 children)

You didn't answer my question. Yes, a sizable amount of people don't like americans because they are considered ignorant and consumerist and controlled by cash. The military is considered an neo-imperialist force, that's why no one respects it. You should really learn about what people think and why but then again, you know the old saying, American Education.

[–]Chipit[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

LOL. I post saying Europeans I've met have a strong dislike for Americans. You then say "what a stereotype!" And then in your very next comment go right back to confirming what I said.

You're arguing against yourself. And losing.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Because you're being an asshole personally, I'm not addressing this to all Americans, just you who is playing the victim for oppression points!

[–]Chipit[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

a sizable amount of people don't like americans because they are considered ignorant and consumerist and controlled by cash.

And you said ignorant stereotypes are bad! You're doing it yourself! How do you not see this?!

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

considered

c o n s i d e r e d

a stereotype would be people thinking of you as fat, scooter driving incestuous morons with no teeth and horrible accents.

I say again. American Education.

[–]Chipit[S] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I say again, your hostile response proves, as if it ever needed to be proven, the European hostility towards Americans. It's time to close down the bases and leave. The US has no obligation to stop you nationalist, tribalist, violent genocidal Europeans from murdering each other.

Of course, we always end up doing it anyway, like when in Bosnia you all sat by and watched people starve in concentration camps, and saw others lined up and shot dead.

When will you disgusting barbarians improve yourselves? But hey, don't let that stop you from lecturing the rest of the world all the time. Obviously you are the moral pinnacle of humanity.

Srebernica happened in 1995. The fact that went down at the end of the 20th Century, after all of Western Europe bleated on about Never Again for 50 years is a disgrace. You did nothing in 1995, and you would do nothing now. You are people of meaningless words.

You are a continent of phonies and frauds, the US has no responsibility to stop you from murdering each other.

USA out of NATO.

[–]Jesus-Christ 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

Oh poor poor you ;( There are plenty of Europeans that recieve abuse for their nationality too, cry about it. Your country really isn't anything special.

[–]Chipit[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

But nobody does it and then turns around and pretends to be friends.

Notably, Europe doesn't pay a ruinous amount of money for American defense. I think they'd be more justified in criticism if they did. But no, all they do is take, take, take and can't even say "thank you".

I think it's because the EU has established itself as an enemy of the US, and constantly shitting on Americans is one of the few things that all Europeans agree on. Thus we serve as an external enemy that they can unite against. Seeing the desperately poor situation of the EU, I don't see this changing anytime soon.

[–]Jesus-Christ 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Why are you surprised? You specifically posted this in s/Europe to piss people off, so naturally you're going to get pissed off responses.

[–]Chipit[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

...but...aren't Europeans mature enough to take a little ribbing? Laugh at themselves? Anger as a reaction is something Americans do, is it not? I thought Europeans were proud to be anti-masculine and anti-military. You mean that's not so? Explain.

[–]Jesus-Christ 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Just seems like you have something against Europeans because of whats been said to you, I get shit all the time for my nationality but I don't generalise countries because of it. I get the impression this post was made as a dig and not as a joke judging from your responses. It's not "banter" when there's a different intent behind it. Regardless, I don't think I should entertain you because I'm sure you're trolling. Have a nice day lol.

[–]Chipit[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You mean that spreading ill will comes back at you? What an interesting idea you have there.

We should get out of NATO and Europe in any event. They're no help in fighting Russians which I don't want to do anyway. And I sure don't want to fight for France again much less Latvia et al.

As an American officer living in Germany, I'm surprised by how closely Germans follow U.S. politics, and I often end up listening to polemics on the follies of American foreign policy. These run the gamut from American responsibility for the current instability in the Middle East, to the trade conflict with China, to current tensions with Russia, to others that date back to well before I put a uniform on. Left unsaid by my interlocutors is how Germany can contribute to improving any of these challenges.

you are supporting the russian agenda by advocating against nato. very transparent. and this is not the first time either you are doing it.

DURR HURR TEH ROOSHINS

It wasn't TEH ROOSHINS who refused to carry their fair share of NATO. You think Europeans are in favor of it? Come on, the data is clear.

Only 34 percent of Germans and 41 percent of the French would want their country to intervene militarily if another NATO member was attacked by Russia. By contrast, 63 percent of Germans and 57 percent of the French would want to see U.S. troops to become active in such a situation.

https://www.politico.eu/article/support-for-nato-down-in-france-and-germany-report-says/

Only 34% of Germans, 25% of Greeks and Italians, 36% of Czechs, 33% of Hungarians and 41% of the French believe their country should fulfill its treaty obligation if another European country is attacked. Only the U.S., Canada, the U.K., the Netherlands and Lithuania had a majority in favor of honoring the NATO commitment to mutual defense.

NATO’s European Allies Won’t Fight for Article 5

It’s time to dissolve NATO. NATO partners have repeatedly violated the NATO treaty, it’s time to pull out. The US isn’t a battered spouse that needs to stay in a marriage where the wife isn’t faithful. It’s healthier for both sides to get out of the relationship.

We can and should keep active treaties with nations that are good partners. We should ditch those that take unfair advantage of the relationship.

thank, you commie shill, for promoting, politico (commies) and carnegie (nwo) agendas.

are you channeling alexander dugin?

[–]Chipit[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Dugin's Foundations of Geopolitik is a meme taken seriously by no one besides Russian neo-Nazis and hysterical westerners who think they've found Putin's foreign policy Bible.

Dugin also believes that the world is ruled by ancient clans of vampires. And that e.g. UNESCO is a continuation of the Freemason order. Just saying.

It's all in his numerous books and articles. I've skimmed through some of them in the past, out of interest. It's, like, Aleister Crowley meets the Protocols of Zion meets /r/conspiracy. Some of the books titles alone could be a hint.

Also, a seemingly good semi-academic article about his supposed influence - "The West Overestimates Aleksandr Dugin’s Influence in Russia".

[–]useless_aether 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

even if you are right about dugin, that is no excuse for your behavior in this thread. i suggest you delete your infantile, trolling comments.
