I've lived there nearly 10 years and they are drilled regularly on how bad the holocaust was. School is holocaust education, TV is holocaust education, their entire culture revolves around them feeling guilty for the holocaust. The only way I would ever get assaulted in this country is by saying something anti-left. I'd end up in jail for questioning the holocaust. I'd be totally ostracized by everyone around me for giving even the slightest hint of doubt. Have you ever seen a German react to you being skeptical over this? They get emotional, confused and very angry. It's incredibly bizarre for otherwise stoic people. If you think that's a good job, I can kind of understand, as you're Austrian. To me it's shocking and disturbing how much they hate themselves. This approach will guarantee a right resurgence and it's already happening the past few years if you look at the polls, I've heard it from German friends too who are fed up. Personally I've never been further right in my life and the attitudes of people here has a lot to do with it.
