This is a black school.

The black schools are more like zoos. My high school aged daughter went to one until she luckily got lottery picked into a private “charter” school.

The private charter school “anyone” can go to. But so many black people are trying to escape the zoo, they have to do lottery for a 4 year spot. If you can’t get in first round, a kid may move, and you may get in.

My daughter got in like that.

These all black schools are like the Wild West? I don’t know how to describe it, other than, all the kids have recognized that if they do whatever they want, the staff can’t do anything. So like if 1,500 of the kids do whatever they want, out of the 3,000, the staff can’t do anything. And the collectively fight, so drugs, smoke weed, have sex, leave school, come and go as they please.

When I went I pick up my kid, it was nuts. Honestly, I would have fit in well. But it’s no place for my child.

Very good; that was exactly the right decision.

Now every student's parents have been notified that there's a problem; until she acted the kids were apparently just skipping out. This causes the parents to ask the kids what the heck is going on, and then some interesting conversations will happen.

You are speaking from a white perspective and making a lot of incorrect assumptions. These parents all think the principal is stupid for suspending anyone for absences because "it's punishing them with what they are being punnished for". Menawhile they take zero responsibility for any of it. It is the school's fault thst they can't get the kids to behave.

Heh....I'm speaking from a "white perspective"? Fascinating.

Doesn't make it wrong at all.

Some good "sent to your room" time combined with holding them back a grade would likely work wonders here.

You did not understand my comment. Your white perspective is not relevant to whether it is good or bad, but how it will be recieved and the impact it will have. You still think this could improve their behaviour. Your entire analysis assumes the behaviour and thought patterns you encoded in your brain for humans which you use to understand the world. These are very deeply ingrained beliefs that you never think about. Your entire life experiences come from almost entirely white people, and the select black people who escaped the ghetto.

I gew up in Chicago. It is a different breed here and other left wing big cities. I guarantee that not one of them will have inproved attendance or behaviour, and there is a good chance they see this as an unfair attack on them which they will use as justification to retaliate and behave even worse.

Based principal. Good for her.

So let me get this straight...the problem is the kids aren't going to class, and the solution is to...suspend them so they miss even more classes? Great idea Einsteins

They're getting rid of the disruptive ones so the ones who want to be there can have a chance to learn. I think this is the way to go. Focus on the performers, dump the trash.

I agree with your opinion entirely to take students that aren't attending class and then to correct the problem by kicking them out of school entirely is a bit like if this forum is not operating correctly start banning people it makes no sense at all this is an example of crap management

The parents tell the teenager to go to their room where a Gaming PC and Xbox await them to play games on and chat with friends.
