My experience is most drugs (outside psychedelics do this). I used to do tons of blow and after a few years my mood was often either ecstatic happy to be around people and people seemed to love being around me, or having an utter destructive breakdown. Even after I cleaned up, it took the better part of a year for me to stop having sort of spikes in my mental/emotional state.
