Nothing wrong with that. In fact that is how it should be. For example if the people jointly owned the country's oil production, gas could be charged to the consumer at a level where the profits would pay for maintaining the roads and other infrastructure which would be a fraction of the prices the current free market extortion racket forces us to pay.

If you just say "I'm a communist" people will know to ignore you more readily. This is the sort of thing that happens when energy is nationalized
