I vote for third parties… basically no matter what. I hate the Republicans and Democrats pretty equally, and like the Libertarians, Greens, and Peace and Freedom parties almost equally, so am happy when someone votes for any of them. I also am happy when people vote independent.

I'm voting for Libertarian myself, because of all the third parties it has the most supporters (and is therefore most likely to win), because I prefer voluntary donations and volunteering for social programs much more than government action (and feel a lot of government action and fees combat my vision of a voluntary gift economy), and because some of the issues I care about most, like over-extended copyright terms, government spying, and the DMCA, seem most likely to be opposed by the Libertarian party.

I also really hate it when taxes go to something I oppose, like animal agriculture or fossil fuel subsidies. When they stop going to things I support too, I feel that is fine, as I would rather things be funded voluntarily anyway. I like paying my own money for things I support, but do not feel it is right to force others to do so.

I also hate government bureaucracy, the complex tax system, and all the regulations that disproportionately hurt smaller companies and individuals, raising the barrier to entry and reducing competition.

Also, /r/libertarian never banned me, only removing one of my comments with notification, while other political subs permaban me without warning when I inevitably slip into wrongthink. That alone was enough to push me to the Libertarian side.
