The Prussian Schooling Method.

After Prussia lost the Battle of Jena in 1806 due to poor discipline, they invented a new school system designed around creating obedience.

Then in the mid-1800s, this successful method of schooling was re-tooled to create obedient industrial workers and brought to the United States, and became the basis of the school system we have today, which is still centered mainly around obedience training more than learning.

i think corporal punishment was part of it. a touch of trauma based mind control.

logical choice for a nation destined to be the world police with a strong war culture.

Now they just essentially use social shaming, which works better than corporal punishment in terms of creating obedience.
